Was in Boston for a meeting at The Courtyard. The room had a king size bed and the room had just enough room to walk around bed. The only chair was a desk chair. The hotel had what I would call a "roaring 20"s" type of decor. It was not to my liking. The food served from the hotel for...

Management response:

Dear xuna48, Thank you for staying with us recently at the Courtyard Boston Downtown while attending a meeting. We agree with you; our rooms are small but we try our best to ensure they still have a cozy feel to them. This historic 1920's building was originally built as an Elks Lodge and the rooms were rented to Elks members...

Close proximity to lots of locations you'll want to visit in Boston. Location to rent city bikes right near the hotel and located in the theater district. I found I liked the bar and restaurants scenes better if you walked about 10-15 minutes you find a lot of options. The hotel is nice, clean but nothing spectacular. The have locked...

Very clean. Very courteous staff. Excellent location for downtown convenience of parking and seeing some shows. Will most definitely do again. Chose this hotel during a trip to see the blue man group which was just the next street over.

The location is in the heart of town by theatre district. The staff was very friendly and courteous, However the rooms are very small and the bed was very bad. There was not a chair in our room. The lounge / bar closed at 10:45 and the nightclub in the hotel was so loud we could feel it on the...

Dear Michael F, Thank you for the kind comments about our friendly and courteous service team! We pride ourselves on just that. I understand you were disturbed by late night noise and the size of the guest room. This historic building was built in the 1920's as a men's club (Lodge No. 10 Boston Elks Lodge!) and the guest rooms...

This is a nice clean hotel priced well for downtown Boston. The rooms are small but I was upgraded sue to my Marriott status. What is best about this hotel is the staff. I travel a lot and everyone was so nice and accommodating. My compliments to the manager.

We have stayed here a number of times. It's close to the theater, restaurants, and other sites within walking distance. Parking is in the garage across the street. The rooms are clean, and the staff is friendly.

Just stayed here recently with my husband, and it has been a couple of years since my last visit. I was pleasantly surprised with the renovations, the carpeting, room decor, and lounge area on the executive 15th floor were all big highlights. The hotel itself is in a great location, And we walked to the south end for the St....

First off Boston is not cheap. We all know that. Second deals are hard to come by. This hotel however is the best deal around. Its perfect location right between copley place, Boston common, and Newbury. The room rate was affordable and the rooms were as expected, nice and clean. While its not the fanciest hotel around, IMO its the...

Ok, first I should disclose that I love Marriott properties in general. Love them. So, we stayed here for two reasons: location and points. There are some great things about this hotel- location is within walking distance of lots of things, easy to access shopping, dining, trolley and the T. The building is beautiful, classic Boston. Lobby is beautifully updated....

This hotel is located in the theater district, especially close to the Wang Theater and the Charles Playhouse. The staff was gracious and courteous. Rooms were clean, although the bathroom was a tad small. However, I would highly recommend this hotel.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
