While opinions on value are divided due to pricing concerns, the central location wins unanimous praise for its convenience to Boston's highlights. Accommodations at The Dagny Boston generally receive acclaim for their space, modernity, and tidiness, although some guests point out variable room sizes and noise issues. Our first visit to Boston for the marathon. Edina at Check-in/out was excellent! John the concierge extremely helpful. Tons of helpful information and so helpful. Great dining suggestions and even made the reservations for us. All the staff we met was excellent. Top notch customer service! This was a five star stay for us and would not hesitate to suggest the Dagny staff to anyone. Thank You!!!

The Dagny is the perfect hotel in Boston for business and vacation travelers. For the business travelers your got quick access to either airport tunnel, a location in the heart of the Financial District, and two onsite restaurants — Tradesman, the best coffee/lunch shop in Boston and Fin Point, one of the best restaurants downtown with a terrific bar for watching a game. The rooms were recently redone and are REALLY nice, better than some plain jane Marriott or Hilton trash. Ceiling heights are 10 feet everywhere. The new gym is first class. Management here is super attentive. For the vacation traveler you’re within 2-3 blocks of Faneuil Hall, the Aquarium, Duck Tour stops, and of course the amazing Freedom Trail. All the major Boston tourist spots - Boston common, Public Garden, and of course TD Garden are within in a legit 10 minute walk. And Tradesman is a great morning splurge with over the top pastries. The rooms are an incredible treat. We splurged on a suite and the extra space and seating area was terrific. This is the go to in Boston.

The whole staff was great but John in concierge went above and beyond! Everything the hotel did for the Marathon was awesome and appreciated. The hotel provided bottled water and fruit as needed, stretching sessions, and post race fuel. The hotel is in a great spot close to many restaurants and pubs all within walking distance. Overall, we could not have had a better experience and will stay there again next time we visit Boston.

I travel a lot and have not had an experience like I did at The Dagny. Stayed here with a group of 9 friends with several rooms booked. I don’t typically write reviews, but this hotel has SOME MAJOR improvements to do surrounding safety and customer service. POSITIVES: Decent location. Walkable to many nearby shops and restaurants. Bed was comfortable and room was spacious. Valet was quick, within 17 minutes, but disorganized. NEGATIVES: 1) Too pricey. Too many hidden fees and taxes (over $128) on top of room rate. 2) Customer Service. Was advised upon check in to provide my AAA card for discount to be applied, which I did. The individual who checked me in stated the number was already added to my reservation (my AAA number wasn’t added to my reservation). I didn’t push the issue over a $40 discount. I was not advised of any hotel amenities, on site food or beverages or the “surcharges”, extra fees or “discounts” I should have inquired about. How can I inquire about something I know zero information of? 3) Customer service and Safety. I was abruptly woken up by a person knocking repeatedly on my door at 7am. Before I got to the door, it opened! The door was latched, thankfully. It was a male stating “you called me” and he was there to “repair the bathroom.” After repeatedly telling this random man I didn’t call him or need a repair, he still insisted while holding up a cell phone to show me his call log (?). I told him we didn’t call for repair and shut the door. 4) Upon checking out later that morning, I was not asked how my stay was. I advised the front desk what had happened re the unidentified male at 7am. They said “we apologize.” I asked them if they could tell me who opened the door to my room and the reason for this person’s entry into my room? The front desk clerk stated, “it was one of our engineers and they were at the wrong room at 7am. I can see it in the logs, they were supposed to go room ‘X’”. I thought this was strange bc room ‘X’ was a COMPLETELY different wing on my floor and the room number was NOT similar. I told them this was not safe and luckily I had the door latched, and it shouldn’t be customary that ANY STAFF just enter a hotel room at 7am while people are sleeping. The front desk clerk apologized again, but the apology didn’t change my feelings regarding lack of safety at this hotel. 5) Bell hop is disorganized and poorly communicated how our bags would be delivered to us. The lobby was PACKED full of people checking in and out, so it was not clear of how bags could be retrieved without asking staff several times of what to expect and where our bags were. 6) I booked a standard King, but was sent an email prior to my arrival that my booking was updated to a superior king. Which included plush robes and amazing view. The email also stated, "We look forward to welcoming you to The Dagny and providing the impeccable service we pride ourselves on." I received no robes, had a view of a yellow brick building, did not feel safe and received poor customer service. Overall, we encountered numerous issues during our stay. For a high priced hotel in Boston. too many questionable issues and concerns. We do not recommend staying here and we will not stay here in the future.

We stayed here for the Boston Marathon. It was a beautiful room! The hotel smelled lovely and the beds were incredibly comfortable. All the staff members were personable, friendly, and kind. Went to concierge for restaurant recommendations spoke with Barry. He was extremely helpful—even called the owner at Ricardo’s and got us a table without a wait in the upstairs room and recommended we stop at Bovas (like a “local”). Excellent stay here. We appreciated Barry so much. He made my family’s first night very memorable.

What a beautiful hotel! Absolutely everything met all expectations…from the welcome to the room to the experience. I can highly recommend this hotel for some old school glamour and class 🤩 The location is excellent for exploring the central city and is close to the train station for easy commuting.

My wife and I decided to take our 2 good friends from Italy for a quick trip to Boston. We wanted something with great location, friendly and personable, great service, and good food nearby. We got it all with this place!! From the time we pulled up for valet parking to the next day when we left, we had an excellent stay. Edina checked us in and Kahina checked us out……very friendly and nice and they are such a positive presence to this hotel. We received a map with detailed instructions from John who was more than happy to help us. Also, Bader, who helps in the lobby never stops smiling…..great guy there to help where needed! Room is very clean, nice size, and location could not be better. Great restaurant in the hotel and many very good ones nearby. My friends went to a Celtic game and it was easy walking there and back. Check in/out was quick and easy. Simply put, I loved this place!! Everyone very nice and willing to help…….that’s what sells me when I travel. Kudos to all the workers but especially to the four mentioned…..they were great!!

The hotel is centrally located close to all main attractions, great restaurants and pubs. We were here with family and enjoyed many fun activities including the science centre which we would recommend. Hotel rooms are spacious, clean and staff is very attentive and kind, especially the doormen. Overall a great drag and would return. Parked at post office square without any problems.

The Dagny was selected by a friend who is a travel agent. It was the last stop on an east coast trip with my family. We arrived before check in, but were given great suggestions by the concierge, who also locked up our luggage. We returned late and found ourselves in a large, beautiful room. The black out shades were amazing, the temperature perfect, the beds comfy and we did not hear any street noise. The Dagny was well situated to everything we wanted to see and in walking distance. The coffee shop in the lobby was great and served everything you could want. If I go to Boston again I would stay at the Dagny.
