NEW YORK
Reviewed yesterday NEW

The best part of the hotel was the observation deck that let you see the Boston harbor and skyline in all directions. The view changed from day to night and was consistently spectacular. The rooms were spotless and well appointed, the services were great and the location was right in the heart of the tourist section. Right out the door...

We arrived at 9 am after a red-eye flight from west coast. Christine at front desk quickly let us check in. The room we requested on higher floor was not available but she found one on 5th floor with view of the harbor in distance. Karen at concierge desk was extremely helpful. She made us feel so welcomed as we...

We were able to switch our time share to stay at the Customs House. In previous trips we stayed at the Four Seasons and the Taj. The Customs House is by far the best Hotel in Boston. The location is perfect close to the T and the North End. Shopping is just around the corner. Music every night . The...

I booked this hotel because my husband said it was on his bucket list, but I wasn't expecting it to be as nice as it was. The hotel was both interesting as a landmark and beautiful. They have done a fantastic job on the interior, both in the common areas and our room. Our room had a modern feel but...

I can't think of a better place in downtown Boston if you have small kids. They have a great playroom, good kitchen, and it's the ideal location, steps away from Faneuil Hall, the aquarium, the north end.

This is a comfortable place to stop, and is exceptionally well situated to visit Faneuil Hall, Quincy Market, the train stations are not far. It's easy to walk to the Aquarium and move around this fascinating city. The hotel itself has great rooms, with wonderful views of the harbour, you can take in so much of the city.

This room had a different layout then the last time but spacious enough for a long stay. Everything is always so clean and looks like it was just built. Beds are incredibly comfortable the building is very quiet. Very friendly and knowledgeable front desk staff, they are a great resource for all things Boston.

Tied for my favorite hotel of all time with the Cosmo in Vegas. Great mix of modern conveniences hidden in a building built in 1840. Loved the location. Great stay. First floor view of Faneuil hall. Fun place great staff. Thanks.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
