We had two rooms at the custom house and they both were lovely. I really wanted a harbor view but was unable to get it but Katherine check us in and gave me a room with a small view of the harbor. Bonnie the concierge was so helpful and helped us plan a beautiful day to Rockport on the train....

The Marriott Custom House is a hotel with large rooms right in the heart of the city. Most of the rooms come with a living room, bedroom and kitchenette. Due to the building's architecture many of the rooms are different layouts, but basically the same. I don't think I would actually buy into this property as a Vacation Club property....

Had no idea where to stay. Wanted to be near waterfront, Quincy Market, Faneuil Hall, walking distance of harbour and Boston Opera House, a clean and well-maintained hotel. Was VERY pleased with all aspects of the Custom House. We were in the "heart" of where we wanted to be. Had a nice view, walking distance to Faneuil Hall, Quincy Market,...

We are Marriott Custom House timeshare owners and have stayed at several other Marriott Timeshares and this one spoils you so that you are disappointed in the others. The service here is great. The whole operation is very gracious. There are wonderful activities each day that are usually free. We especially enjoyed the one on the different teas. The scones...

Had a superb week here in beautiful Boston, amazing city, everyone was so friendly and welcoming ,helpful. Special mention should go to the two Karens[the concierge and the one who works behind the bar]. Karen the concierges tour of the Custom House is well worth doing, the entertainment that we went to The Wine and Cheese, the Spanish Guitarist and...

As MVCI owners we stay at a lot of their properties. There is nothing like the Custom House. The history behind the building and the architecture are amazing. There are so many unique rooms to stay in and ours on the 23rd floor had a gorgeous view we could not get enough of. It is a very old building so...

This Marriott property is wonderful! Each room is actually a villa with living room, dining room, microwave, dishes, small fridge, full size coffee maker, etc. It's a Marriott vacation club location so everything is right there for your comfort. The rooms are large and clean. Everyone is very friendly and helpful and willing to bend over backwards to make your...

Right across from the "T" train entrance, Boston harbor and a great view of the TD Garden. Rich in history, and provides a very nice feel of times gone by. The breakfast venue leaves a great deal to be desired though. Enjoyed our time here and the 26th floor all around view of the city made the stay memorable also.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
