Nothing fancy about this hotel but clean and all staff very attentive. Pool is the summer is great. Hotel is in the middle of everything. Can't ask for a better location. Price is cheaper than other hotels but still a bit high. Overall good value though.

We've stayed at the Midtown Hotel many times and like the fact that it is close to Symphony Hall. We attend many concerts of the Boston Symphony Orchestra during their season each year, so we appreciate the very short walk after the concert, especially this time, as it was raining.

My daughter and I needed a place to stay while she was interviewing at Northeastern University. Very close to restaurants, mass transit, etc. Rooms were clean and staff were very friendly. Definitely come back.

Clean, comfortable, always a great spot when we come to Boston for a night or two to catch a Red Soxs game, a show or just to enjoy walking around the city viewing the shops, the sights, the restaurants.

Although the amenities are lacking here such as breakfast and other services....For example, the electrical sockets in the room were faulty as was the shower hot/cold faucet. Despite these faults the staff came to repair the electrical fault a few hours after I reported it. Also, the room was a bit tired, appearance-wise and the TV screen was too small....

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
