Enjoy your stay in Boston!
We stayed two nights in a city view room (not much of a view - just the street below and the building opposite - but a view of outside). The reception staff were helpful. There is a space outside the hotel to pull in for 5-10 minutes and offload luggage and check in. There is also a baggage storage facility on the day of check out. The room was a decent size, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was nice with a large shower. The hotel is in a good location close to the Aquarium, the Rose Kennedy Greenway, Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall. There is a bar area but it was closed during our stay. Coffee and cereal bars are available there in the morning. Max's Deli Cafe on Milk Street (5 minutes' walk) is a good option for breakfast.
We really enjoyed our stay this past weekend. The location is incredible. My wife and I were joking that everything we wanted to do ended up being < .03 miles so we never got any steps in to walk off all that Italian food. The team at the front was really helpful and gave fantastic recommendations. I really enjoyed how the building holds some of the original brick walls and signage but it feels so new. Definitely recommend for other people who want to be centrally located and not pay too much.
The location of the Haborside Inn makes walking around Boston a breeze. The views from our room were great and the bed was comfortable. The front desk staff was eager to assist and we really enjoyed chatting with them about what to do around Boston. Thanks for a great stay!
Fantastic central location. Nice rooms, even those (like ours) that are in the basement with no windows. Our stay would have been nicer if the restaurant/bar had been open. COVID is over guys and it's time to get back to full-service business.
Super impressed with this place and I will definitely be back! Great location, very clean, and funky decor! Fanueil Hall and Quincy Market were only a block away. The Greenway was perfect for walks and running. Quiet location, with plenty to do close by.
As far as location goes, this hotel is great! Right next to the marina and most tour pick-up points, there's a 7/11 round the corner and a Panera Bread for breakfast just a short walk away. The hotel itself is clean and modern, the room was very large and had a lovely view. The only thing that could be improved would be to provide tea and coffee facilities in the room. Other than that it was great, and we'd definitely stay here again if we returned to Boston.
Perfect central location!!! We were in Boston for only 24 hrs so we wanted a hotel that was near everything we wanted to visit. Harborside Inn is the perfect boutique hotel. It’s small but very clean. We had a large room facing the atrium which we didn’t mind at all. A 7-11 is just steps away and you have your choice of restaurants and bars nearby. Everything is within walking distance. We hit up the tourist traps as it was our first time in Boston. It’s such a walkable town. Located in the north end and near the downtown area. We learned quickly that hotel prices are quite steep in the area, but paying a little more to stay at Harborside Inn was worth it.
My husband and I spent 3 nights at the Harborside last week. This hotel was a quick 10 minutes taxi ride from the airport. We arrived Thursday to heavy rain that continued into Friday afternoon. I had forgotten to pack our umbrellas. I asked at the check in desk if they had any umbrellas for sale/rent. They were happy let us borrow one as they have a few to lend out. The front desk staff was wonderful and always ready to help. We had a king bed with a window looking out onto State St and could see toward the Long Wharf area. We loved the exposed brick wall and general feel of the room. The room was a nice size and the shower was too. The only thing we thought was strange was there was no closet so no where to hang our clothes, especially when we came in after walking in the rain! We had only once had a hotel room with no closet but they had a wooden strip with pegs on the wall with a few hangers. So, with no closet there is no ironing board or iron, which for this trip was fine, but there are times you just need to use an iron. I am sure if I asked at the desk they may have had something. There was a 2 drawer nightstand on each side of the bed which held a few items. We felt the room was quiet despite facing the main street, we never heard anything. We felt the bed was comfortable with at least 6 pillows on the bed, mostly very soft but we slept great! This hotel is in a great location. It took us a while to figure out that we could quickly get to the Quincy Market, Faneuil Hall, Long Wharf and North End in a short walk. We were able to get to a starting point of the Freedom Trail from there. This is definitely a very walkable city. We are from the Chicago area and that is so spread out! There is a small fridge in the room which was nice to hold a few drinks and in the morning they had coffee/tea down in the bar area along with some small granola bars and apples. At the end of the block is a 7-11 and Dunkin Donuts, so not far to go if you needed something else. When we were ready to check out I asked if they would be able to call a cab, and they were happy to do that. We were told it would be 10-15 minutes or so. We sat at a little table in the window and were getting up to go out when we saw a cab drive by and really didn't stop. We waited another 10 minutes then asked if that happens and the girls said yes, sometimes the cabs a kind of "finicky". and won't hang around if they don't see anyone out there, however there were 2 other people out there, though they didn't have luggage, but the cab didn't even stop! We ended up getting a LYFT who came in like 4 minutes, probably should have just done that first, but with just being a 10 minute ride thought the cab would be easier, but I guess not! Definitely not the hotels fault! We would definitely stay here again if we were to come to Boston again.…
Obviously its not a cheap location to stay in but the excellent quality of the Hotel is beyond reproach. Very friendly and helpful staff from the moment we arrived and the room itself was a perfect size & very comfortable for our needs. Ideally placed for reaching a number of the many attractions/locations in Boston. Well kept and clearly its upkeep is important. Certainly a well stocked & inviting bar too. I would highly recommend this as a place to stay if you wish to be in the centre of things. Also very quick access to water ferry/taxi if you wish to travel that way to / from the Airport.
This is a wonderful hotel centrally located to many things in walking distance. The bed was comfortable, the staff friendly and helpful, and it’s very tastefully furnished. We slept well and had a great stay. Go to Long Wharf at night, it’s beautiful, then enjoy the colorful water fountain on your walk back!
