The hotel was in a great location, as it was close to the airport and some historical sites. It was very clean and modern. I was thrilled to have a king bed with 6 head and 2 throw pillows. The lobby and the soaps smell very pleasant too. This was a great value as a hotel. Only downside is that...

This is a nice place to stay. I have lived in Boston & when I return with family - this is an ideal place. Standard room had an awful cleaning odor - would have had me coughing all night - The next room did not have any offensive odor and was a great room to relax in. It was especially...

My husband and I have been to Boston many times but have always stayed outside of the city. For a change, we decided to find a hotel downtown. What a difference this made! The Harborside Inn has a terrific location--just steps from the metro and close to Fanueil Hall and dozens of restaurants. The room was quiet, comfortable and reasonably...

Love this little inn. It was perfect location to fanuiel hall and the harbor. We stayed here for a harbor cruise and it was within walking distance. Rooms clean with high cellings. The beds were so comfy we didn't want to leave. We've stayed here 2 times in 2016!

Check-in was difficult- hotel staff enforces arbitrary policies to the letter and see no problem arguing with customers. Most places I stay at make me feel like a welcomed guest, not so with Harborside. Much better choices at lower prices nearby, definitely worth a look elsewhere.

I rated this hotel as 5/5 in the context of the price. It was a very good deal and I got the room at 150 dollars a night. In light of this the hotel is fantastic. The rooms are at least as good as the average 5 star hotels I have stayed in in the US, and better than almost...

Location for this hotel is everything, especially for Fanueil Hall area. Great place to stay accommodating staff. Small rooms, but you don't spend much time there other than to get ready to go out or sleep. Updated interior, comfortable, clean and well worth the $$. Only downfall, wish they had a restaurant for breakfast, however they do have a continental...

We stayed here on Saturday November 26th. This place has several pros. Unfortunately our visit seemed to be more con than pro and we were disappointed. Pros: 1. Location location location. This hotel is walking distance to everything fun and/or historic about Boston. If It's not walking distance, a subway entrance is located right in front of the hotel. Very...

This was our 3rd time staying at this hotel and for good reasons. When we first arrive, we drive a few blocks away to post office square to the underground parking garage. The hotel provides a voucher for the state street garage but the post office one is still cheaper. It isn't too far to lug a couple bags but...

The hotel staff (Matthew) was very welcoming and accommodative after we reached early dawn after a red-eye. The location of this hotel is excellent with Quincy market just across having lots of restaurants and shopping. Also the subway station is steps away- Orange and Blue lines. Also an Irish pub Black Rose right across, having live music. The long wharf...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
