Just spent 2 nights here with my husband. The location is fantastic for walking almost anywhere and there are 3 different options for taking tge 'T'. We had a classic atrium room which was a little dark, but it didn't bother us as we didn't spend too many daylight hours in our room. Nunzio's next door was perfect for a...

We arrived at the hotel,(which is in a great location)to the lobby still under construction. After the reception eventually decided where our room was as we were staying a week and this seemed to complicate matters(we had been booked in 3mouths before). We were put in room 215.We were aware when we booked it was the atrium room but being on the...

Depending on the room that you get, you may or may not like being in the middle of the financial district of Boston. Most reviewers hav remarked about how noisy City-View rooms are so we booked an Atrium-View. The room was very quiet, but there was no outside light which in my mind was a fair trade-off considering the convenient...

We stayed at the Harborside Inn last year and while we gave the hotel very high marks in most categories, we said that the lobby furniture was dated and somewhat shabby as compared to the rest of the lobby and the rooms. We've just been back and are happy to report that in keeping with the rest of the hotel,...

Definately not a "destination" hotel, but a great base for a couple of days exploring the Freedom Trail. Rooms are clean, well-furnished and comfortable, but beware that atrium rooms are dark. The "atrium" is a small inner light well and windows are overlooked by the elevator passageway - so take care if undressed with your room light on! The lobby...

Stayed several days and decided to get rid of the rental car because of how convenient it was to everything. Only a street away from Nathaniel Hall, Quincy square, aquarium, Legal seafood, the wharf...... And more. We ended up taking the "t" to the airport because it was just 2 exits away..... Anything to avoid Boston roadways (ugh)! The room...

We stayed here mid-week for two days to explore the city. We had a city view room on the 8th floor with a good view. The room was very clean, bathroom immaculate and everything else met our needs. We found the location perfect for exploring and close to the waterfront. The staff was friendly and answered our questions regarding subways,...

We stayed at this hotel on a Sunday night to attend a concert and found it to be a great value for the money. The hotel is perfectly located just outside of Faneuil Hall at the top of the Aquarium stop on the T Blue line. The staff members who greeted us were very friendly and check in could not...

The good: location, price, and modern, clean rooms. The bad: unfriendly staff, lack of temperature control in the room (it was freezing in july), wifi went out and staff didn't do anything to help, no cribs, no option for 2 beds, and we asked for a quiet room but were given a room on state street with constant horn honking...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
