First time visit impressed me with the location and extra friendly service personnel. Particularly enjoyed talking and sharing laughs with Deneke, Hilary, and Norman. Parking garage is adjacent to and connected to the Hotel. No need to have valet service. People are happy to help with bags at entrance. Concierge (Fred) was happy to provide a complimentary shuttle ride to...

We arrived late and were checked in quickly and efficiently by front desk. The greeting on the door by the staff was warm and welcoming as it was every time we left or arrived at the hotel. The front door staff were very friendly, polite and courteous. The location is ideal, probably the best in Boston, right across from the...

Just returned from another visit to The Colonnade. First off, the location cannot be any better if you are a Back Bay or Copley Square fan. It's directly across from The Pru, the premiere shopping mall in the city - - and a few blocks from Newbury (think Rodeo Drive, Worth Avenue, Fifth Avenue). However, what makes this a home...

I recently stayed three days in the Colonnade Hotel The room was comfortable and pretty spacious. The bed and pillows were wonderful. The only qualm I had was there is no desk for work and I faced the east and the sun was so bright in my room that you simply could not open the curtains until after noon. The...

The room was very nice and clean. Plenty of counter space in the bathroom. Plenty of space in the room. We were up on the 7th floor with a very nice view. Location is quite good. I was there to visit Northeastern and Northeastern is within walking distance of this hotel, or a few stops on the subway (T) or...

We were fortunate enough to be guests at the Colonnade Hotel on 12/31/16 for New Year's Eve. We were treated like Royalty throughout the entire visit, from check in to check out. Our room faced Boylston Street across from the Prudential entrance--what a view! So much to see while we sat at our table and sipped Champagne. The room was...

Stayed here in December and loved the hotel. Last stayed here more than 10 years ago and the hotel has since undergone renovations and upgrading. We took the LuxLimo coach from New York City which arrived in the Backbay Sheraton located behind Prudential Plaza and opposite the Colonnade so it was easy to drag the bags over to the hotel....

The Colonnade is a quality hotel, the staff was friendly and our room was nice. The restaurant next door stayed open late which was nice for great night caps or good late night meals. The pool was crowded early and stayed that way all day. It had too many loud children and no where near enough seats. Overall I would...

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
