Nestled in a prime location, The Colonnade Hotel garners accolades for its easy access to nearby attractions and amenities, with travelers highlighting its central position ideal for all types of visits. The prevailing opinion among guests is one of appreciation for the hotel's cleanliness and the courteous, professional staff that ensures a welcoming environment. This hotel believes in warm welcomes, superb hospitality from the ever-sharply dressed & knowledgeable Norman at the front to Denege (may have spelled his name incorrectly) and his brilliant smile and warmth, to the kindness and sharpness of housekeeping (Jesuina) who noted a faucet drip & had it repaired on her own. The rooms are squeaky clean, large; wonderful mattresses, fluffy pillows, robes & towels that truly dry your skin. It's also one of the few hotels that recognize the value of room service which likely costs them rather than profits them. David Colella and Mary O'Leary, thank you and your staff for years of comfort, looking forward to years more!

My husband and I recently stayed 3 nights at the Colonnade Hotel on Huntington Ave in Boston’s Back Bay area. I got a great rate during this post Christmas week and utilized the special of Park and Stay. (Free Parking at a savings of $65/night!) Upon check-in we were greeted graciously and told of our options for my requested accommodations.

Our room, 1037 was the on the 10th floor, a very quiet area of the floor, away from elevator and ice machine and utility rooms. It was on the front side of the hotel on Huntington Ave and with a full wall of windows we had a bird’s eye view of the Prudential Tower, the Christian Science Center Plaza and the street scape below . This hotel is very well insulated from the street noise and our room was extremely quiet with a most comfortable king size bed and luxurious pillows and sheets and very nice shower. The beautiful blackout curtains completely block out a ray of light. If you have to be somewhere, set your alarm or ask for a wakeup call. OMG-the sleeping was great!

The amenities offered by the hotel were very nice. Anything we might have forgotten such as shampoo, lotions, bottled Poland Spring water were provided. There was a spacious lobby with couches, chairs, reading areas and daily newspapers. No reason to stay in your room! I would recommend this deluxe hotel to anyone who wants some pampering in a casual and warm atmosphere and pleasant setting.

My husband and I brought our adult son here for two nights this past week. My husband had never been to Boston and the getaway was an early birthday gift for our son. I selected the Colonnade because I got a great deal through TravelZoo—$199 per night plus discounted parking.
What a fantastic location. The hotel is within walking distance to Newbury Street AND Fenway and the T is right outside the door.
Check-in was facilitated by the lovely Samantha, who provided us with stellar front-desk service throughout our stay.
Our room suited our requirements perfectly—two exquisitely comfortable queen beds with great linens and pillows, a spotless bathroom, a fridge, and sparkling windows that insulated us from the traffic noises six floors below. Minor housekeeping hiccups (no wastebaskets and not enough towels) were handled with courtesy and dispatch by Irene and she would continue to anticipate our every need. Kudos to her! Our only quibble with our room was the inconsistent climate control. Although we slept well, the temperature in our room fluctuated wildly during the night.
I’m not a fan of Keurig machines, so rather than employ the one in our room, I took advantage of the complimentary coffee in the lobby each morning. Dan and Angelis were wonderful to chat with while I filled my cup. The lobby of the Colonnade is one of the nicest ones I have ever come across; actually, all the public areas were above reproach. We did not use the well-appointed gym but the sultry weather prompted us to avail ourselves of the rooftop pool. (Word to the wise: if you want to sit or recline, get there EARLY.) Sam and Melissa were charm personified.
As a Mom, retired teacher, former Cub Scout leader AND a Virgo, I pride myself on being prepared for every travel contingency but I did not pack a toothbrush for our son (he moved out 14 years ago 😂) or an umbrella because the forecast did not call for rain. Front Desk Samantha gave our forgetful boy a toothbrush and on Tuesday evening, Jenna lent me an umbrella for the walk to Fenway. Thanks, Jenna! Everyone at the front desk, including the manager whose name I neglected to get, deserves a large bonus in their paychecks. And finally, I have enough men in my life but should my husband and son ever vanish, I would go back to Boston and kidnap Hicham and Norman. They are a real credit to the Colonnade.
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel and I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone traveling to Boston.

I only stayed here one night but needless to say I will definitely be back. I had a wonderful stay with an amazing view. The shower had excellent water pressure, the pillows felt like clouds, the robes were extremely cozy, and overall the enviornment was very clean and fresh. One thing stood out to me though - the employee at the front desk. Luis made my whole stay worth it. He greeted me immediately and made sure I was set up for a great night. He made all of my accommodations work with no hassle at all, making me feel welcomed and taken care of. Besides being extremely helpful, he was extremely knowledgeable about not only the hotel but the surrounding area - he gave me great recommendations for good eats and bars. He was genuine, honest, and kind above all else. It is rare you find someone so dedicated and Luis was a breath of fresh air!

Had a great stay at The Colonnade! Super convenient location in Back Bay - right across the street from the Prudential Center. The hotel room itself is spacious - we had plenty of room to do some work and relax. The bathrooms are a bit small, but totally serviceable (great water pressure). Service was super prompt - we asked for an extra robe and they popped up right away. Would stay again!

The hotel location is great for all things a tourist would enjoy.

Adjoining LUCIE bar is open Tues-Sat only (lovely)

Rooftop pool & Bar is closed September through April and not advertised - disappointing to learn this on arrival

Facilities fee charged $30 per room per night - not advertised - apparently for the available use of the gym, rooftop pool, water in room and WiFi - don’t advertise as free to use!

The hotels sales and marketing team need to have a rethink. Why they are leaving customers with a sour taste, completely unnecessary for such a great hotel.

Don’t let this stop you booking the hotel as it offers so much, however be aware of these hidden charges and availability of facilities that may not be available.

The Colonnade Hotel Boston was exceptional! Very nice hotel in a good location. Parking right at the hotel is the best! Loved our City View room with a full wall of windows! Right across from the Prudential Center and the neighborhood near the hotel was very nice to walk through at night when going out to dinner or heading up to the North End. Subway is close if needed. But what set this hotel apart was the staff. The cleaning staff was great making up the room when needed and the front desk staff were all exceptional. Matt at the front desk made our stay, with help for restaurant suggestions and simply giving us a big good morning and asking how our day went when returning at night. I wish I noticed more names but, Louis, Norman and basically everyone we ran into a just made us feel so welcome! One morning I noticed Matt making sure that a family with two small children each got one of the cool little bathtub ducks that come with the room as a memento. The kids were excited and it is these type of small things that make a stay memorable.

My family had a fantastic stay and we were especially impressed by the staff's willingness to assist us in any way possible. We were traveling with our daughter who uses a wheelchair and the staff made sure to help us in ensuring our stay be the best possible. From the warm greeting we got each time we entered in-and-out of the hotel to housekeeping asking if there was anything we needed as we passed by. The beds were soft and cozy and the room was spotless and thoroughly cleaned. The full-sized beds felt a bit small for two people to share, but it was a minor issue in what otherwise was a very positive experience.

There were many nice touches to the hotel, but one that stands out especially for families was their "help-yourself" coffee, water, and snack etc. area. It was such a nice selection of drinks and snacks and available to guests all day.

The restaurant in the hotel, Lucie, was very good and had great service.
I highly recommend this hotel for its service, exceptional friendliness and thoughtful amenities, which I think is rare to find in many hotels today.

We were in Boston as a family of 4 for a 3 day stay. The location and sufficiently large rooms were important to us. The Colonnade far exceeded our expectations. The location is perfect for walking around the city, Newbury Street, Public Garden, Downtown etc. The Back Bay train station is only a few minutes away. A supermarket and good restaurants are nearby. The rooms are very large and very well equipped. The service of the team is perfect, very knowledgeable and extremely friendly. If required, you can help yourself to fruit, crackers and soft drinks. We would always choose this hotel in Boston.

Travel to a recent conference in Boston took me to the Colonnade Hotel. I chose this site because it was adjacent to the "official" conference hotels near the convention center, and I could not be happier about this choice. From check-in to check-out after a 5-night stay, the service was amazing! The front desk, cleaning services, quality of the hotel restaurant, including an amazing bar ... All were great!! The room was cozy, well laid out, and the beds were incredibly comfortable.

With all of these great services, however, one service - and one individual - stood out. When I checked out, I had several hours before my flight, so I checked my bag. Badr took the bag, and I thanked him upon returning. But he did not stop there. My Uber driver somehow got confused about my location, and Badr made sure to correct the confusion:) He led the Uber driver to the hotel, advised a waiting taxi to move up so that there was room, and then loaded my luggage into the Uber. And all the while, he made friendly conversation, assuring me that I had plenty of time to get to the airport. This level of customer service was FAR beyond my expectations, and I am truly grateful to Badr for being so kind!! I highly recommend the Colonnade Hotel and thank the people there, like Badr, who made the experience both enjoyable and memorable.
