Just got back from PAX East and stayed at the Colonnade. The first person you meet is Norman. He is unfailingly polite and helpful. He knows the city like the back of his hand and enjoys knowing his suggestions have helped. Customer Service experts should use him as a case study.

Staying here is like coming home. The staff is super friendly & helpful! Rooms are well appointed, comfy and the service is fantastic. Perfect location to hit the Prudential, Hines cc or restaurants. Heater by the entrance felt great during this "blizzard" I will definitely return❣

Great location in Back Bay, the Prudential Center Plaza is just across the street. The rooms were large and very comfortable. The whole hotel looks amazing, and everyone was friendly to us. One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in!

Staying at the Colonnade is always a pleasure. The staff is wonderful, the rooms are comfortable, serviceable and always clean. I always look forward to breakfast, the best I've found in Boston. I travel frequently since our US headquarters in now located in Boston and our first store opened last year. Our parent company is in Tokyo, and our executives...

We are touched by reservations manager Jill at the Colonnade Hotel. We booked a 45 day extended stay at the Hotel, for my wife's care for a complicated pregnancy at Mass General Hospital. Jill was wonderful in arranging for that stay and did so with a very personable touch that felt that we were with a friend. Thank you Jill!

Amazing Service. By far the best hotel I have stayed in anywhere in years of travel. Friendliness and helpfulness is first here. From the bell captains, front desk, housekeeping, room service and restaurant, A+++++++!! The food is 5 star at Brasserie Joe. Willingness to fix anything to make stay the most pleasurable travel experience.

We have been staying at this hotel since 2007. It is our home away from home. We love its location, the garage nearby, and that it is dog-friendly. The staff is very warm and welcoming, smart and gracious but not to the point of obsequiousness. The hotel has a quiet and subtle air of luxury that doesn't draw attention to...

This fine hotel is well situated in downtown Boston. Close to all the shops you'll need. The service is excellent, friendly and prompt. The rooms are very clean and up to everyone's expectations. I'm one of the lucky ones, who gets to spend the night here once in awhile. 🙂

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
