From the moment we stepped in front of the hotel we were greeted by Norman as if we were royalty, checked in by 2 gracious and informative desk clerks and helped to our room by a friendly and helpful staff. All members of the hotel were there to meet our every needs. The hotel is located around many sites and...

Boston is a destination for many things and staying at the Colonnade affords you the opportunity to easily explore downtown Boston. The T is just outside the front door of the hotel and the staff is very willing to help with questions. Norman, the bellman, was very helpful with directions to I-93 and getting the T to Downtown. Abraham assisted...

We stayed at the Colonnade from April 3rd to the 6th. This trip was designed around going to Opening day for the Red Sox. My father and I make a yearly trip for this occasion. On this trip we were celebrating his 55th birthday. I notified the hotel ahead of time that we were celebrating this special occasion, and honestly...

Our first trip to Boston was made memorable by the warmth and hospitality of the staff. The hotel location was excellent, and the amenities were good. The staff simply could not do enough to make our stay enjoyable, and a very special thank you to Danny, the Concierge and also to Keith. Both went out of their way to make...

The hotel is in a great location: it is in front of the Prudential Center Plaza, and at walking distance from Newbury street; there is also a metro stop in front of the hotel. My only complain is that the hotel is a bit too expensive for what it offers: certainly the location is great, but it cannot justify such...

The Colonnade hotel was a great pick. It was my first time staying there and I made the reservation because they were pet friendly. It is a great boutique hotel with a lovely restaurant and great service. I checked in with very little time to make it to my Dinner reservation. I asked for a small fridge to be brought...

Had a nice stay while in Boston staying at this hotel. We were attending the Anime Boston convention across the street. Stayed two nights. The rooms were very nice, beds were very comfortable. I'll start with the Cons and end on a good note with the Pros! Now for the bad: The coffee maker had mold growing around/in the water...

I had stayed at the Colonnade years ago and was always impressed with their customer service. This trip back to Boston was like coming home, only better. Everyone who I came in contact with was friendly and helpful. The doormen would remember me and ask me about my stay. The staff in the restaurant was wonderful, as was the food....

I've had 4 stays at the Colonnade now and it's growing on me each time. Each stay was associated with a conference or other meeting, so I haven't picked it, and each time am always more pleasantly surprised. The strengths are definitely the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff at every level and the quality of the rooms. I've stayed...

I attended a conference at the Colonnade and used the Concierge to get directions to shopping, restaurants and the airport. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was very convenient to the airport and subway stop right outside. Rooms were appointed well for business travelers with good lighting, table for working. Note that wifi is free ONLY if you...

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
