William McPherson was my Bell Man and was over the top pleasant and hard working. He assisted me with water, luggage and was a true professional! I would recommend the Hotel and their staff. Restaurants and Bars were excellent too! Try the Reuben Sando and Espresso Martinis!!
We are Hilton Diamond members. The Bayfront is primarily a convention hotel but because of the location close to Petco and downtown (walkable) we decided to try it out. Petco Park is directly across the street from the hotel and the walk to downtown restaurants was maybe 15 minutes (does not require a car). The hotel is across the street from a Trolley stop which makes access very easy. The view on the bay is excellent with boats of all sizes going back and forth all day. The hotel offers a free hourly shuttle to Coronado Island and drops you off at the Hotel Del Coronado. The lobby is attractive and the rooms very adequate. Because it was our anniversary the hotel was king enough to upgrade us to a corner King with great water views. They also delivered a bottle of Prosecco and finger desserts to our room to celebrate our anniversary. The best part of our stay was the staff! Oscar checked in and was very friendly and professional. Gary the Bellman was the star of the show. He was so friendly welcoming and genuinely happy to see you. Shelly assisted with our room upgrade and was was just terrific to work with. Our housekeeper Grizelda was wonderful and did a great job each day making up our room. We had such a positive experience that we would not hesitate to return again. We were made to feel very welcome during our entire stay.…
From the location to the rooms, staff, dining, and bars, this property was a total hit for us. The staff was especially attentive, responsive, professional, and genuinely interested in the quality of our stay. The property is within walking distance to many things to see and do in San Diego. We can’t wait to return!!
They fixed the issues with hot water and wash basin right after I complained. Good service and very clean room plus bathroom. Room service did great job maintaining it clean. They offered discounts everyday on meals as well. The restaurant food was excellent.
The front service agents at the Hilton Bayfront in San Diego are fantastic! I especially like to call out William McPherson. He was so kind and customer focused, making sure my husband and I had what we needed. A true professional in the service industry, and is a fine example of professionalism and how to be an A-Player in this line of work. Thank you for everything you've done for us!
Horrible hotel. Was there with a large group. Their internet connection went down and over 200 people were trying to check in. It was like this for several hours. This is totally unacceptable that you don’t have a backup high speed internet connection for your computers. You’ve potentially ruined our group’s top producer recognition black tie dinner tonight. Am I supposed to wear jeans to walk the stage because I couldn’t change and get in my room? Pathetic.
The Hilton Bayfront doesn’t stand out in any way except that it has everything you need for a “base of operations” in San Diego. It’s located in the heart of downtown, on the Bay as the name suggests (with some terrific bay and city views from the rooms). A pedestrian bridge connects to PetCo Park and the Gas Lamp District. There are several restaurants on site, ranging from fast/casual to fancy. The large pool includes a 25-yard lap lane. The fitness center has a score of treadmills and bikes (though the weight section is small and disappointing with only a rack of free weights, a universal and a leg press machine). The rooms are nice and spacious but standard Hilton. It was exactly what I needed to walk and drive to nearby San Diego and La Jolla attractions.
Friendly staff that you guys so much for making my say amazing in the summer I would definitely recommend coming here and get super busy for comicon by overall they were still able to accommodate me for everything that I needed thank you so much I hope to come back in the summer again
A perfect place for our family to stay! Both Chris and William at guest services were so helpful and made sure our stay was perfect! The pool and rooms were so great and clean and we enjoyed San Diego even more because of this place
Beautiful hotel. I was on the 28 floor, what a view to have. I would stay at this hotel again and bring slippers this time. The other restaurant was closed, so you only had one choice to dine at. Oh, no room service.
