PROS - Paisley, the hostess, is exceptionally informative and very hospitable! We always felt taken care of. And she always had great suggestions for what to do in the city. - In the room you'll find very helpful binders with maps, local restaurant and store reviews, and great ideas of what to do over your stay in San Diego. -... We stayed at vintage sol for three days and it was an amazing vacation. As you enter you are amazed at all the decorations and accommodations that Paisley herself arranged. It's filled with one of a kind artsy decor that makes you feel special to be there. The room is cozy and you could feel the love that Paisley had... More

My husband and I returned last week from our annual trip out west and stayed at the Vintage Sol while in San Diego. We were so happy with our stay at Vintage Sol! It was incredible! Loved the private courtyard and the entire feel of the B & B. Paisley is quite a phenomenal chef and had true authentic dishes... More

I'm not sure what additional praise I could heap on the gorgeous little niche that Paisley has created, without being redundant. Every glowing word of the other reviews is true. Paisley is a consummate hostess, and has left out no detail in anticipating her guests' needs--various types of whole-bean coffee and a grinder, inside and outside CD players (and iPod... More

Thank You Paisley for a wonderful four night stay at your eclectic B&B Vintage Sol. The breakfasts you served-aside from being absolutely delicious were also unique and beautifully presented each morning. The room was delightful-small but cozy and creatively decorated. We would leave the french doors which opened onto the private courtyard filled with greenery and flowers, open each eveing... More

Vintage Sol in the North Park area of San Diego is a perfect getaway for one or two people. This is a very private retreat and you stay in a clean, fully (and I mean fully!) equipped cottage plus the courtyard for your exclusive use, lush with vegetation bearing fruit, where you can have your breakfast or just lounge in... If you stay here, you will reside in a magical sculpture-filled garden all to yourself, in a beautifully decorated little house with every thoughtful amenity you might want. For real! We couldn't believe it! In addition, your hostess Paisley (an excellent cook!) will take wonderfully good care of you. This is within walking distance of plenty of coffee shops, thrift... More

The other reviews really cover it, but we we loved our stay so much I need to post. Every corner of Vintage Sol is touched by creativity...nick-knacks, kitsch, and chotchkies of love and beauty in every nook and cranny. It's amazing! Paisley is wonderful, she takes such great care of you without intruding. She provides information about all the neighborhood... More

My husband and I had an aaaaamazing stay at Vintage Sol. I would recommend it to anyone. Accommodations were excellent, breakfast was spectacular and hosts were memorable. The neighborhood/ location was also great. On our stay, we went for morning runs in Balboa park, walked to Starbucks for coffee, walked to restaurants in the evenings, and browsed local shops during... More

Pay attention to the warnings on the website -- this is a tiny room. It is best for one person or two people who can deal with being very cozy. But this really takes nothing away from the charm, comfort, and beauty of this gem of a place. It is so relaxing to sit in the garden patio with one... More
