We love this place! This is the 2nd time we have stayed here and loved it all over again. We were on our honeymoon and it was just perfect! We were in cottage 10 and were a little gutted we weren't on the other side as our last stay but the sun set view from this side is AMAZING! The...

My husband and I stayed for a weekend in cottage number 5. It had queen bed, separate bathroom with shower, kitchen, flatscreen tv with couch, and outdoor table with chairs, umbrella, and two chaise lounges. Our room faced the south side of the beach. We had great morning and early afternoon sun. Other couples who had the cottage next door,...

My daughter lives in San Diego and suggested Crystal Pier as a place to stay. We were lucky enough to be able to book a 2 bedroom cottage here for 5 nights in April. We used this as central place to stay while we visited many San Diego sites that were all within 15 minutes away. What a beautiful place...

Spent a few days over Easter staying here with our two kids. It is spectacular and charming. Easy drive into the city - but also (obviously) fantastic for the beach. The cottages are well decorated and equipped.

This is the place to stay if visiting San Diego. The cottages are located on the pier and we all loved it. My teens loved kicking a ball on the beach. Excellent Wifi. Rooms are BEAUTIFUL, beds are comfortable and the master bedroom looks out over the beach/ocean. The living area is spacious as is the gorgeous deck area. Relaxing...

Very cool quintessential beach cottages. Not sure there is any place like it in the USA. Drive out to your cottage on a old rickety wooden pier. Decor: simple clean BEACH! The sound of surf puts you to sleep. FYI...it can be loud for those light sleepers. Wine and cheese on your own private "over the water" patio. Nice smile...

This was our first time here and we will definitely be back. Crystal Pier has cute little rustic cottages on a pier. Full kitchenettes. The cottages were comfortable. Some ware. Rust and some mold due to being right on the water. Loved the waves right underneath you. The sound of the waves and the movement of the pier will put...

This is a unique place. When I first visited in the 80's, it was pretty primitive, but there's few places you can have a little bungalow on an ocean pier, with the waves crashing all around and even under your bed! Just park your car in front of your room, and walk to the beach and little shops and restaurants...

Going to sleep with the waves crashing below us was wonderful. We left a window open to hear them even better. We could also feel them at times, as we were there during some crazy winds and waves (the pier was closed past the cabins two afternoons, and the Ocean Beach Pier was closed as well - late January 2016)....

The Crystal Pier Hotel is one of the most amazing places I have ever stayed. It is truly unique and you stay in a cottage on a pier and are directly over the ocean. This place is beyond excellent, beyond magnificent and beyond superb! Perfect for family reunions, beach parties or a romantic getaway. Don't think there is another place...
