We stayed at this hostel for two nights over Thanksgiving. Firstly, the hostel is in a great location in the Gaslamp district. The staff at the desk were friendly and helpful with things like change but not that knowledgable about other tourist info - like bus fares etc. Our

Reviewing this hostel in terms of other hostels, it has a spectacular location in the heart of the gaslamp district. I'm not talking about walking 4 blocks like most of the other hostels...it's right in the middle of it. On 5th street, walk south for great shopping and eating,

Thanks for the great review. I just wanted to clarify a few things as some of the amenities you've mentioned have changed a bit: 1. We are not currently running our own Tijuana tour, but can recommend some other local tours to that area. 2. Internet is now $1 per 12 minutes or $5 per hour. We still have free Wi-Fi, and its range is much better as we have added some access points. Everything else is still accurate. Thanks again for the great review.

One thing I hate about hotel review sites is when people stay at hostels and expect it to be like a hotel in any way, shape, or form. First of all, before you decide to go hostelling, look it up on the internet to see what you're in for, because it's vastly different from a

What a great and very detailed review. Thanks a lot, we really appreciate the time you took to review us. A few things: 1. We offer free earplugs now at the front desk because of the noise. 2. We've been maintaining our locks a bit better and purchasing better keycards, so they shouldn't deactivate as much now. 3. We're getting fans for the dorms so the summer should be more comfortable. Thanks again for the awesome review.

Stayed here for 5 nights in a private room with a shared bathroom. This place is a little run down and some parts do need renovating. The staff overall were not good. We were checked in by a boy who looked like he was about 14 and who didnt say two words to us which wasnt a

Greetings ajs202, There is parking nearby. The two closest parking options are the Park It On Market garage (on Market between 6th and 7th), and the LAZ Parking Lot (on Market between 7th and 8th). The Garage parking is 24 hours, and you pay when you take your car out, so it is typically $15-$20 for a 24-hour period depending on when you take you car in and out. The Parking Lot is typically $9-$12 for a 10-hour period of time. With the lot, you can only pay for 10 hours of parking at a time, and you pay upon arrival the kiosks located in the lot. All the best and safe travels! Hello, we do have private rooms with private en suite bathrooms. Otherwise, bathrooms are outside of the room but are almost all single occupancy (one person in them at a time). Safe Travels, Amelia B.
