I rarely write reviews, but I had an absolutely wonderful experience staying here. From the moment I checked in, until the moment I checked out, I was met with cheerful, helpful, and professional service. Anna, who checked me in around 10pm, was extremely friendly and professional, as well as gave me a lovely room with a stunning view of the bay! Jeff, who helped me with my luggage upon check out, gave me some wonderful recommendations on places to go, was an absolute joy to talk to, and was also professional and courteous. Also to note; the rooms and facilities were very clean and the staff were always perfectly on time for any pre-arranged services (room service, bag pick up, etc). The staff here truly made my first solo trip, a great one!
We live in Dana Point and love to drive an hour south to enjoy this property. If you have young kids this is the easiest getaway! The pool with plenty of waterside seating, the cozy cabanas, Splash area, and fun poolside activities make this a relaxing and fun getaway where Mom and Dad don’t have to entertain all day. The property also has easy access to a beach on the bay where you can rent paddle boards, pontoon boats, wave runners, etc. we ate numerous meals at the restaurant and pool and were pleasantly surprised at how delicious everything was. If you want a bayside getaway with family... look no further.
Overall this property was nice and staff were very pleasant. Check out was timely and efficient. The fitness center had a variety of equipment. The property sits on the bay and there is a sidewalk that runs with the bay, so taking walks was nice. I would add a microwave to the rooms.
Was there on business and was very impressed. The entire team at the resort were helpful, friendly and very welcoming. Only complaint and it’s minor was the noise from the other folks getting in and out the elevator. But if I hadn’t forgotten my ear plugs I wouldn’t have heard a thing.
Arrived for a business trip, the resort is isolated from the world with overpriced in-house services ($6 for a small bottle of water) and no easy means to get to town. Catering quality for events was poor and the rooms were noisy with alarm bells ringing at 5am on empty rooms and no means to stop them, fornication noises going through these paper thin walls more expected on a road motel than in a hotel. The only positive is the friendly and attentive staff.
Restaurant / bar hours were terrible. Banquet services / food had issues and zero desire to work with us to fix the problems. First day food was terrible. They incorrectly increased food service (charging more money) when I asked for food to be removed. Not one person came to address face to face. All by text.
Bathroom wasn't cleaned like it should have been and the heater did not work. For the nightly rate, I would expect better. Staff were friendly and the Covewood restaurant had good food, cocktails, and ambiance
Great place to stay but not to eat anything but breakfast. We enjoyed our king suite. The staff is excellent, the hotel is clean and a lot of fun for the family. It’s not cheap. We had a great time considering how much it rained. It sits right on a beautiful bay and park.
It's a great resort and definitely a place we would stay again. Some things were priceyer than what we have seen before like $42 for parking and $100 for two adults and two kids to eat breakfast. $6 for drip coffee.
I really loved the front desk and the doorman/greeter who really made our stay really great! Alex, Arcelio and Britania!! Wonderful and kind people Thank you to this wonderful team who made our stay very memorable! I’ve already told my family about these people!
