Amazing customer service, great location, big rooms. Needed dry cleaning and was done in 6 hours. Excellent small store open 24/7 for snacks and drinks. Walking distance to great sites and restaraunts in San Diego. I never used a cab/Uber and was able to walk everywhere I wanted to go.
We stayed at the Hotel Indigo Gaslamp while visiting San Diego for the first time, and hopefully not the last. This hotel is modern and decorated in excellent taste. The service is excellent too. Being located in the Gaslamp area makes it very central. We had a suite on the 18th Floor (if I remember correctly) which had an amazing view of Petco Park Stadium. This must really be the place to stay at while in San Diego.
We just got married in downtown San Diego and we had many of our guests stay at Hotel Indigo. All of our guests had nothing but great things to say about the hotel. They all said the staff at the restaurant and bar were super kind and welcoming and the rooms were very nice and clean. We also held our welcome happy hour the night before our wedding at the hotel. We initially planned to have it on the rooftop bar but it ended up raining that day and Pisey and her team seamlessly changed the event to be in the lobby bar which ended up being great and beautiful. We had about 80-100 people there. Pisey helped us coordinate light appetizers to provide and then our guests all purchased their own drinks. Pisey was great to work with throughout the whole process and answered all of our questions. She always responded very quickly which we appreciated. Overall we had a great experience working with Hotel Indigo and we were so glad that all of our wedding guests felt comfortable there. …
Alex was able to get me a complementary upgrade because the first room I checked into wasn't cleaned well. Overall, the single bedrooms have a great layout. The rooftop bartenders were casual and made the experience memorable. The bar also had non-alcoholic options which made it all the better!
Nice hotel. Great staff. Valet parking seemed a bit steep IMO $55 per day. Rooms nice and surprisingly large. Overall a good value. Near a variety of interesting places to eat and drink. Food service seems to be on the rebound from COVID days. Service at downstairs restaurant a bit disorganized. and food just OK top floor bar want opent he night of the adjacent college football bowl camp which seemed odd would have been a great spot to watch the game and drink.eat the hotel is that close we actually watched it from our room window opened the windows to hear the crowd and followed along on TV broadcast what a hoot like other cities the District has its share of homeless sleeping on the sidewalks but nothing to sketchy area seems clean enough
The staff at Hotel Indigo were top notch and the food was fantastic. Pisey was my point of contact for the event and she was the most hospitable person. On the day of the event Elaine was our staff member and she was gracious, beyond helpful...an absolute gem. I would highly recommend Hotel Indigo for any event you may be planning.
My main reason for booking was the price in comparison to the other hotels downtown in Gaslamp. I required a downtown hotel and it was only 15 mins from airport. Staff were friendly and accommodating and my rooms was spacious and inviting. The hotel had a "rooftop" bar on level 9 with great views of the city and also of Petco park (baseball part for San Diego Padres). I would defiantly stay again.
First off, while packing up my suitcase for check out, I looked over to see a cockroach roaming around the counter by the door and up and over the little coffee maker. Do not use the in room coffee makers. I did think the furniture was cute. The shower was so clogged with lime it shot everywhere but at the person, though. And it's right by the arena, so for arena attendees that's great, but otherwise you get to listen to cheering and music and stuff until at least midnight. Then as I got home I realized I'd left behind my ipad in a drawer. It's never a great feeling to leave behind a $1,400 piece of electronics but it really felt like the hotel was trying to speed run making it the worst possible experience they could. Many hotels will ship you lost belongings if they're lucky enough to find them, but Hotel Indigo was more focused on being insulting that I'd left them in the first place. The first call to housekeeping, their response was Absolutely Not they would not look for the ipad, and also it was absolutely not their responsibility to keep track of such expensive belongings, sometimes stuff gets stolen. It was like they trotted out a script reaction to accusations of stealing in answer to me saying "Hey, I think I left an ipad, if you find it can you ship it to me?" So I left a message for the front desk managers also asking if they could look for it when the current guests left and they called back a couple days later to say they had found my iPad, and I know they'd found the ipad because they also named a drawing book it was sitting on in the drawer. But in between the logistics on the ipad they made sure to mention again how this was all my fault and generally try to treat me like a misbehaving child for even asking them to ship it. They sent me some paperwork to fill out and get my CC info for shipping it back to me, and I had it filled out and submitted within 15 minutes. I waited a week, no luck, so I called back and the front desk said the ipad was sitting on the managers desk and they just needed to ship it and it would go out tomorrow. I waited a week, no luck, still no shipping charge. Tried calling again, left a message, no call back. Waiting a few more days, left a message, no call back. At this point it's been a month and they're just dodging my calls. It was so strange! It would have been super easy mode for them to say "I'm so sorry that happened, let me look into it" and even if they did promptly steal it I wouldn't have known and I'd have thanked them for trying. But by doing this weird mix of telling me they have the ipad and just refusing to ship it, and also never showing any sympathy and in general treating me like guests are the worst thing to happen to them, it's been probably the worst hotel experience I've run into.…
Hotel was clean and accommodating. Rooms were nice, hotel staff was great. The breakfast at the hotel was spot on. Mark, Elaine and Sergio ensured that we were well taken care of. Walking distance to good restaurants and 5th street shopping. A+ Hotel Indigo!
The vallet service was very good. Andy took wonderful care of us and gave us great recommendations. The hotel was comfortable and it gave easy access to many things. It was a great spot if you are going to the Convention Center or the Petco center.
