We all travel with different expectations of our lodgings but if you loves your furry friends enough to seek a dog-friendly haven then you have your pick with this hotel. Dog beach is your back yard, dog friendly restaurants are close, and a good pub is right down the way. No problems with the cleanliness factor, the aisles are wide...

This hotel does not have all of the amenities, but the dogs love it. To start with with I will list the pros: The dog beach is right there; They cater to dogs; When you book the deluxe room the shared dog run is great. You can wake up at noight and let the dogs out easily. Cons: The rooms...

Great place to stay with your pup...definitely not luxury, but staff is very attentive and personable. Our first assigned room reeked of stale smoke, and it was supposed to be non-smoking. We asked to be relocated and were moved to a studio room without a patio and yard, but it met our needs. Area is quiet except for airport comings...

Let me start by saying that if you're expecting a "Hilton" experience you won't get it with this hotel - BUT THAT'S NOT A BAD THING! This hotel is for dog lovers who want to take them on vacation with the family. The hotel is clean, the staff is friendly. It's less than a 5 minute walk to Dog Beach,...

Too EXPENSIVE for what you get! The hard, bouncy mattresses (cheap hotel-grade) (they'll tell you it's new) plus the paper thin walls and ceilings will rob your sleep as next door & top floor guests' partying, walking on floors, tv's can be clearly heard. Broken, dirty items in every room, like the freezer or AC or door lock. Strong smells...

It was an alright stay, the rooms were large, everything was pretty clean except for the carpet, dogs in adjoining rooms were quiet, view was great, kind of a far walk from the shopping district, and later at night heard a couple of gunshots.

The hotel itself is nothing special, it's slightly run down and could use updating. But the advantage to this hotel is the location, right on dog beach...and the fact that you can stay here with your dog. I appreciate that they are dog friendly, your dog will appreciate that you can walk right out to dog beach in a matter...

Its due for renovation, the walls are thin. Not glamorous. The front desk was helpful when the upstais neighbors were loud. They moved us because they could & apologized for the inconvevience. BUT... It's doggy Disneyland. There's a dog wash at the side of the hotel, the beach is 100yds away, ocean beach is right there too. 90% of the...

I stayed at the Ocean Villa Inn at the end of May 2012. My experience was extremely enjoyable. My husband and I were traveling with our two dogs. The first floor rooms have direct access to a fenced-in grassy area, where friendly dogs are allowed off leash. The location has direct access to Dog Beach. The hotels location within the...

We were traveling from San Diego up to Riverside with some friends and we spent one Friday night here. We didn't have a dog and were on the upper level. The location was perfect for our planned lunch at Hodad's on Saturday afternoon. We checked out the breakfast and it was pretty standard for a hotel breakfast. The quick walk...
