Stayed two nights at this location, a lovingly restored 1920s residence hotel not far from downtown, Balboa Park, freeway access. The staff was welcoming from the valet parking attendant to the desk persons to the concierge. Our room had little touches that showed the designer was really thinking about the comfort of guests: the little night light in the sink...

Perhaps this property should be re-named Worldmark by Wyndam, which is what you see on the sign over the hotel. The significance is that this property is related to the larger whole of Wyndam which is engaged in marketing for their timeshare portfolio. I booked this through an internet portal, but upon completing my check-in at the front desk, I...

We had a studio unit in this World Mark and loved it! The décor of the room was Art Deco to match the hotel. We had a real bed, not a Murphy and a large couch also in the room. We walked to both the Park (about 15 minutes) and into the Gaslight area (about 20 minutes). There is a...

This is a 1920s hotel located near downtown at the south end of Balboa Park. It has been recently renovated and I was very pleased with the size and quality of my room. My room was basically a small suite with a couple of burners, a refrigerator and microwave. I had a few special requests of the staff and they...

This place offers free two hours of parking per stay, nice to know so when you arrive you can at least unload your car then decide if you want to do street parking or pay the high price. I recommend street parking, just be aware it is there but you have to look around and be very aware of the...

There is always someone at the valet, which is great since the one side of the street is lined with homeless. Needless to say, walk around the corner and the other side of the block is safe. The location of the resort is quite nice. You can walk (uphill) to Balboa park in a few minutes, and you can also...

This is a gem in the city! Lovely gardens, many and varied museums, cafes, not to mention the zoo, Safari World. So much to see and do in one location! A great place for families, couples, or to get away alone.

While this was a small hotel, the room was a good comfortable size. The location is good as well. Here you are within walking distance to many restaurants and parks. I did not enjoy the parking game. If you were lucky to find one of 9 or 10 free parking spaces on the side street consider yourself lucky. If not,...

This property is located just 1/2 a mile from Balboa park and minutes from the Gaslamp District in the the heart of San Diego. From a location standpoint it really hits high marks as it was close to everything we wanted to do. I don't know if it is in a bad neighborhood or not since I don't know the...

Stayed here for the Rock N Roll Marathon. Excellent location, not that far a walk to the convention center or the starting line of the marathon. Good restaurants for breakfast, lunch and dinner within walking distance. Rooms were very clean and quiet. Staff were friendly. Top floor balcony was very nice for drink and a wonderful view of the city...
