Came across this amazing little place by chance and the unique charm has such a homey feel. I absolutely love it. The rooms are nicely put together with a smoothing color palette and our room (room R) has an extremely comfortable bed. Has a little bit of a B&B feel. Very close to public transportation. Hope you enjoy your stay...

Tabatha, thank you for your feedback! You are not the first guest to call our hotel a "gem" and we're so pleased that you found us. There are so many advantages of staying at a small 23-room such as ours. Enjoy San Diego! David.

My family of 5 ( husband, 2 teens, and toddler) stayed the night here after a day of Seaworld. When we left Seaworld to head to the hotel, it came up really quick on the corner! The hotel doesn't have its own parking, we had to find parking on the street which was a little difficult with the busy intersection...

Rachel, thank you for your comments about our great location, the décor and friendliness of our team. I am not sure why the Air Conditioning didn't cool as well as normal - I will have our team check that and the slow drain. I can certainly understand how both could be somewhat frustrating, and I don't want any other guest...

Having stayed here multiple times, my wife and I are always comfortable in this fine, little hotel. The staff makes local recommendations - and signs each one personally -- in addition to offering incredible attention to detail and service. Add in the local tastings that happen at the hotel and you have a great experience. PLUS, if you are there...

Mike, thank you for mentioning Little Italy's Saturday Mercato, just a few blocks from our cute hotel. Thank you for your comments about our attention to detail, service and comfort. We look forward to seeing you many more times at Hotel VyVant! David.

My boyfriend and I only stayed there one night and we loved the friendly staff and room. Definitely staying there next chance we get. The only downside side was parking. We got back to the hotel around 9pm on a weekend and circled the block a couple of times before we found parking.

We are here during comic con, so prices are crazy everywhere. We paid way too much for the quality of room we have. The check in people are very nice, the lobby and looks like the main hotel is clean. We booked a 2br/2ba room. It is in the very back, no view of anything. Very blah. I asked for...

Giovanna, thank you for your feedback. I appreciate you sharing your post Comic-Con concerns. No matter what the rate, all guests should still receive outstanding housekeeping, and I apologize if you did not - there is no excuse for that. I will share your notes with our General Manager and ensure that these concerns are addressed immediately. David.

We arrived late in the evening, pulled up to the curb and was immediately met by a young man to help us with our luggage. He then informed me of the parking restrictions and where I could find the closest parking space (right across the street), where I would not be ticketed. They have coffee, juice, water and croissants, etc.,...

Gregory - Thank you so much for your kind words about our team members, I'm so pleased they were able to help you. I'm glad that the self serve breakfast ad lobby kitchen worked for you, and that the team found a surge protector for you. On behalf of Team VyVant, that you for staying with us. David.

Avanz, thank you for your feedback. I am not sure which unit you booked or stayed in - we have two apartments that have a kitchen, and one separate two bedroom unit. Anyway, I am glad that you enjoyed your visit with us and enjoyed this historic hotel in Little Italy. David.

Pros include a great location (5-10 minute walk to the water, I-5 is just across the street, less than 10 minutes to the airport and Balboa Park, and several places to eat within walking distance), super helpful/friendly staff, quick response from cabs to this location, and rooms that are affordable by San Diego standards. The fact that some of the rooms...

We had a great stay. In San Diego, there's so much to do that you don't spend a lot of time in your room. It's in the perfect location for exploring San Diego by car or by foot. I had a few unfortunate experiences on this my 3rd extended (5 night) visit to Hotel Vyvant. The rooms are small but comfortable for sleeping, though street traffic is very noisy.
