The room was very small but it had everything we could want. The staff was awesome and it was such a relief to be welcomed with my 84 pound dog. There was an area across the street to walk her and I felt very safe at night when we needed to go out. The valet costs added up after four...

Close to public transportation and the hop on hop off buses and plenty of restaurants within walking distance We had a wonderful stay here and would stay again if we are every lucky enough to return to San Diego.

We enjoyed our visit to The Sofia. The location was close to Horton Plaza and the Hop On Hop Off Trolley stop. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We also loved the attached lounge for it's happy hour and the bathroom products were the best! Wish we had more time to do the yoga class. Would definitely stay there...

Great room at an excellent price in an easy location for a good portion of the city. Lots of charm to the hotel and rooms. Bathroom was a little tight if you are traveling with a companion -- might stay elsewhere if I was traveling with my husband -- literally my only complaint. Staff was extremely helpful. Currant restaurant was...

Decided to try something different type of hotel on our recent trip to San Diego. The Sofia is a very nice, clean hotel, located in downtown between Little Italy and the Gaslamp Districts (both within walking distances), Petco Park is also within walking distance. The staff was great and our room was small but spacious. The hotel offers free use...

This place may well be where the whole "tiny house" concept was invented. We were booked in here to meet someone for a business meeting. I assumed that because of the price of the room that it would be a large executive style room with an area to spread our work and do what we needed to do. WRONG! The...

From check in to check out, this property exceeded my expectations. Comfortable rooms, free Internet and an enthusiastic staff. Walking distance to public transportation, gas light district etc. The bus to the airport is within a block. Highly recommended

This was a very nice property, and had that old style feel, but yet very modern. What I mean is that it did not look like a "chain" hotel in any sense. The thing that some people may not like is that the rooms are not as spacious as many newer hotels (again, why I think it had an old...

We only stayed here one night and checked in late at midnight. The lobby is really nice, seems like they have put a lot of effort into it. Two things we weren't aware of before booking were the Historical Hotel Fee and the Daily Resort Fee. Yes, I understand the historical Fee -- it is a really beautiful building and...

The Sofia Hotel is a 15-minute walk to the harbor, the Midway Museum and a short walk to the Gaslamp district. Here you understand what the guests need. There is power outlets "everywhere" and although the room was small there was everything you usually need in a hotel. The only thing I can complain about was that the window could...
