I have been staying at this hotel for business for about 4 years now. There are many choices in this area but I choose to stay at the Holiday Inn Express on 7th Ave because of the staff 1st. The Staff are alway pleasant. I always feel welcome when I arrive and all through my stay. The staff really makes... More

In 5 days... they replaced my room key 5 times (and then finally replaced the whole door computer... many people were having this issue.) The hot water didn't work for two afternoons while I was there. One of the two elevators was broken for 3 days while I was there. My Admin had prepaid the hotel, but the management couldn't... More

Parking is an experience....especially if you have a large vehicle. The garage needs to be ALOT bigger. The staff is amazing. Very helpful, and they get to know you! Beds were okay. Scary location at night lots of homeless people.

There are a lot of reasonably priced accommodation choices around the San Diego airport but after some research online, by email, and by phone the Holiday Inn Express San Diego stood out because they offered a free airport shuttle and complimentary breakfast. This is a great deal if you are traveling with constantly hungry kids and are on a budget.... More

We stayed at the Holiday Inn downtown during Comic Con, so all of San Diego was packed. We found our room to be cleaner than some 5 star hotels we have stayed at and our welcome at the front desk was perfect. Very prepared, knowledgable and friendly at all times. Someone was always cleaning inside or out, and we loved... More

Over Priced Resort, Rooms were old. Parking was $15.00 a day, With NO Break for Handicapped Parking. I stayed here for Business and while it is convenient to Everything Downtown, It just wasn't worth the price my Company paid. I would Not stay here again.

I needed to reserve and pay for a room for a family member in San Diego without her credit card. Originally the toll free HI employee took all my credit card info and then said I would have to call the local HIE to pay. When I tried to do that (within 1/2 hour of making the reservation) the HIE... More

First of all, I want to express that the staff is great. Very nice and as accomodating as possible. However, the hotel is old and tired. The bathroom was so small that one person could barely turn around in the room. It was about 4 feet by 5 feet? No counter space to put toiletries down. The bed was ok,... More

This hotel is a great location for the city and the harbor in San Diego, rooms are typical of Holiday Inn, not big but very clean, staff very helpful, small cafe to eat in or take out, average but overall a good stay.

Last minute decision to drive to San Diego for the long weekend. First time to stay downtown and hotel was convenient for us to walk everywhere. Friendly staff, clean and comfortable bed.
