The Mission Valley location is perfect for a San Diego experience. A cordial, knowledgeable staff is always helpful to guests. The large rooms displayed great attention from the housekeeping staff. The pool was lovely! Shopping centers and good restaurants are nearby. The downside: it's a little difficult to locate (even the though tower is easily visible from two freeways)... and...

Booked a room on a Sat. night with 2 queen beds for $110 plus tax and $25 per day to self park (normal for the area). Hotel is an older property but well kept and under renovation. Lovely large pool area and lots of comfortable spaces outdoors to relax. Room was spacious, beds very comfortable, good coffee pot. Went for...

Restaurant replaced by a side room, daily blockage of public locations and whole wings of meeting rooms without bathroom facilities should caution visitors to this hotel. The staff is very nice - consistent with what we expect from a Marriott although this is not a corporate property. But we were assured that construction would be completed and it wasn't requiring...

Although the room was a bit old the customer service was excellent! Our first day, when we checked in, I had difficulty getting out of our car due to a cast on my leg. - My husband and I were harassed by another guest at the drop off / valet ramp in the front of the hotel by another hotel...

The hotel was being renovated when I stayed there, but this wasn't really a problem. As a frequent business traveler (a Marriott Platinum Member), I've stayed through multiple Marriott renovations in different areas. The stay was generally the standard fare for a Marriott stay (about average concierge lounge, clean rooms, etc.). However I will say the front desk did not...

Dear John G., Thank you for writing a review regarding your recent stay at the Marriott Mission Valley Hotel. Please allow me to apologize for the manner in which your receipt request was handled. I am frustrated that this took this many requests and phone calls to resolve this for you. Further, unfriendly and unhelpful behavior from our staff is...

This is a beautiful 5 star like hotel within walking distance to the green line train (trolley) and can therefore on small budget live live a king. The food is amazing. The room was very clean and self contained with a balcony giving excellent views from the 5th floor. Amazing helpful members of staff everywhere.

The hotel is under construction. No valet present when I pulled up to park, so had to find a parking space in the lot. Difficult to find the front entrance due to construction. I stayed in this hotel before and do not recall having such a dated room. Bathroom had the single sink on the outside with basic dated decor...

From the valet at the curb, to the check-out personnel and the housekeeping staff, every person I came into contact with was friendly, happy and HELPFUL. Quick and easy check in - room is very nice - spacious and updated with a big (50?) TV in the King room. Nice bathroom layout with the sink area outside of the toilet/tub...

I stayed here on a short business trip to San Diego. I wish the restaurant had stayed open a little later as it had just closed before I arrived. I stay at a lot of Marriott properties and this one had very friendly staff and clean comfortable rooms. I would give the room a full 5 star rating but I...

I stayed at the San Diego Marriott Mission Valley for 3 nights this week while attending a nearby conference. The highlight of my stay was using the new Marriott App. I used it to check in before leaving home and received a notification within minutes that my room was ready. Knowing that my room was ready before arrival was great...
