Stayed here for one night away from home. Was a great location to have a nice evening out and dinner downtown without having to worry about getting a long taxi ride home, or otherwise. Not a large chain hotel, so has a more local feel, and downtown sense.

This is a nice, quiet, and somewhat old-fashioned hotel. When I showed up, I had to wait for >10 mins at the front desk since the sole employee had gone out to get dinner. But in compensation, I was given a deluxe room. The room was huge and nicely appointed. The fixtures in the bathroom were functional but showing their... More

If in Bristol a great waterside bar and restaurant worth a visit for waiter service and views over Bristol Harbourside. Superb for wine and cocktails and soft seating - in Winter or Summer (can sit outside in the summer so good for a long summer afternoon)

Everything about our stay at the Bristol was perfect. They went above and beyond normal service for us. The room was clean, large and very pleasant. We slept very well as it was nice and quiet. It's so convenient to everything we needed (cafe, convenience store, fine dining). We are looking forward to staying there again. I would highly recommend... More

Our room was lovely, spacious and immaculate. We did not have any view but it was not a problem as we were out all day and the room was lovely and quiet. Pinar on Reception gave us great advice on places to visit and was always really helpful. I cannot fault the room or the location. Buses were outside, the... More

Stayed here for work in October for a week. Room wasn't ready upon checkin and staff wanted me to check back when the room was ready rather than call me which I found strange. Room was comfortable - bed was exceptional with good linen and pillows. Coffee in the room is great. Location is close to gaslamp. My main problem... More

We booked this hotel after checking the best area to be based in San Diego. It was a nice hotel, with large bedroom, good beds and linen, and helpful, friendly staff. The only drawback was that there was no restaurant area, which always meant a trek out to find food. We resorted most days to fresh fruit from the local... More

The room was exquisite, well appointed (way better than the big chains) and big too. It was plush. The food in the restaurant was also an eyeopener. I don't usually eat in hotels, but this was a very pleasant exception. Highly recommended.
