Don't stay at this hotel. We were told and charged additional fee for an updated room - desk clerk said it was a new room. Not even close to a new room. I complained on checkout and wanted my updated room fee of $35. I emailed the manager Jim Silver with no response. Issues: 1. Stained carpeting 2. Stained chairs...

Do not believe any good reviews you read. I am a young guy and not very picky or critical of anything, but this place was pretty gross. My gf and I were not expecting much, but it was much worse than we thought. We had to go buy our own sheets and pillows. Do not stay at this place at...

I liked the location and the room; although it didn't have a kitchenette. We were the first ones to stay in a newly remodeled room and it upset me that there wasn't a cover over one of the electrical outlets. It just had live wires poking out and with small children that was a concern for me.

We have stayed at this motel almost annually for 20 years because we love the location. Park your car for days if you want and walk to restaurants nearby and the beach. Over the years, we have seen it go through ups and downs. In general they are in a continuos state of remodeling with a mix of updated and...

Hotel is good for a very short stay. I had a partial view of the beach which was good. I was 1/2 block from the beach. I was 1 block from the main st Mission ave and several blocks from the main drag where all the shops and restaurants are. Found a cute coffee shop as I needed a real...

Have lived in PB for 10 yrs all in all. Have always recommended this Hotel to friends and family that are visiting. Recently, my wife and I stayed here while our condo was being renovated. Room was great- clean, spacious and had a kitchenette, desk area, small breakfast table, and 2 queen beds- all you need for an overnighter or...

We had spent way too much money staying in far-too-nice places on our tour of the Pacific Coast by the time we reached Pacific Beach, so we were ready for a cheap place to crash for the night while we had one last night out. We were pleasantly surprised by how inexpensive the room was, and to be honest, we...

The room smelled, the carpet was disgusting. No breakfast rolls after 900 left. $$$ not worth it. The location is prime for the area, so decide if it is worth the tradeoff. I visited my daughter and her husband here. They stayed the weekend.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Pacific Shores Inn is a quaint inn located at the north end of Pacific Beach. Many of the rooms offer some views of the ocean, and restaurants and shops are just a couple of blocks away. The boardwalk is a 2.5 mile stretch that will take you from the north end of Pacific Beach all the way to the south end of Mission Beach. As you stroll down the boardwalk, you will find ocean front shops and restaurants as well as the famous Belmont Park in Mission Beach. Bike, and surfboard rentals are located within two blocks so there is no reason to pack those items when visiting us. And, every room has a microwave oven, refrigerator, and a coffee maker for your convenience. Some rooms also have full kitchens for those who require that. Parking, and a continental breakfast which includes juice, coffee, and danishes are always free. ... more   less
