I booked a room for 4 days, starting the week after Labor Day. We were shown 2 rooms. Both had a strong musty smell that immediately affected my sinuses. The furniture was shabby and worn. Both rooms were unappealing. I had no desire to spend my vacation days in this place. I had pre-paid for 4 days, almost $800.00. The...

Sandra, We are sorry that you chose not to stay with us. It is difficult to respond to your review as you didn't actually spend the night or spend time in any of the hotel rooms presented by our guest services staff or using any of the amenities that we have developed in this compressed period. An okay rating is pretty lukewarm but here it's not too bad. There aren't a lot of good choices in the area and motels are just depressing. The Wagner is a B&B in transition. It's creaky, lopsided and things don't necessarily work right all the time but it's not bad. The plumbing needs an update as do the bathrooms (unless...

This was a return visit for us to this Inn and this time, we stayed upstairs in the carriage house (#3). Our room was rustic and charming. It was quite dark so if you prefer light and airy, you may opt to stay in the Captain's house or the Saltbox house in back. It's our understanding that most of the...

I can't say enough about this gorgeous property. Our room was charming yet modern, and we found the staff to be highly professional and attentive. The daily breakfast was also superb. It's a short walk to the downtown shopping, restaurants and harbor and very convenient to the beach. We really enjoyed our dinner (and the live music!) at the Well...

This is my first not "Excellent" review on this site. Hopefully, the management/owners will make the changes needed. -Stained ripped towels -Bed nearly collapsed on one side when sat down (needed to re-adjust/bend back aluminum leg) -bench in front of bed was wobbly (was not an antique but rather cheap/old furniture) -place was dark and musty -while only Netflix offered,...

We loved our stay at The Wagner at Duck Creek! -Love the beautiful fresh flowers in the newly re-decorated lobby. -The complimentary breakfast was amazing- fresh fruit, homemade granola, fritata and the best brewed coffee in Wellfleet. -Friendly staff. -Great location! - We stayed at "The Studio" and Rooms 30 and 32 that are connected, great for family stay.

My wife and I had a lovely time. The room (#33) was sunny The bed was comfortable. The air conditioning and WiFi (including Netflix connection) worked well. The bathroom was clean, with plenty of towels and washcloths. The pleasant main floor lounge had comfortable seating, and newspapers and local maps. A small shop off the lounge had souvenirs, toiletries, and...

I love Inns and B&B’s and this is a typical old inn, but I felt it lacked warmth. The thing that I noticed the most was the staff which was nice enough, but didn’t go out of their way to be friendly. In my experience, when you stay at an inn or B & B the staff are usually very...

We stayed at the Wagner Inn this July 2016. We booked a 3 night stay, with 2 nights in one room and then we were to switch rooms for the last night. The first room was fine but the 2nd room was in the attic and was horribly musty. We knew we could not stay there since my husband has...

Let me start by saying that I have never written a bad review for a place I've stayed before. At first glance, I thought The Wagner was picturesque and quaint, however, upon closer inspection, my husband and I discovered that we had a serious BUG and RODENT problem. What I mean by this is that we were constantly killing spiders...
