Picturesque inn on the edge of Manteo's (very small) centre. Had Room 2 which had 2 beds and a minimalist charm and very seaside feel. Beds were firm but comfortable and there was no wardrobe, just some Shaker style pegs on the wall - do...More
This was really the perfect inn experience. Very comfortable room, access to a lovely common room with books and food, and a terrific location in Manteo. It is easy walking distance to the town and its restaurants, easy driving distance onto the Outer Banks, but...More
Can only agree that this is a lovely inn to stay at. Website probably does not do it justice. The friendliness and willingness to help make it very special and the gardens are beautiful. We were sorry to leave. Also make sure you see Gina's...More

Excellent service, a beautiful site, and comfortable accommodations made our overnight visit most memorable. We particularly enjoyed a glass of wine on the balcony overlooking the water! And a short walk to many great restaurants.

That is not correct. I should know, because I slice and prepare the fresh fruit every morning. The guest who commented may have been up earlier than it is layed out: 8-11 am. I decide on what fruit that day and I shop for it the day before. Maybe strawberries and blueberries, bananas, apples, oranges, and/ or melons. We serve a variety of fresh fruit, Danish, muffins, bagels, yogurt and about 7-8 varieties of cereals. Instant oatmeal. We do not have cooking facilities so this " continental" self serve breakfast is much more than most.
