It's not fancy, especially from the outside, but rooms are nice and the views are great. It was really windy, so we could not use the patio, but our view of red rock formations was great! Beds are comfortable and bathroom is ok, but clean. Front desk was very friendly. You can park right in front of the door to...

Our stay here was truly amazing!!! We just returned from a 12 day road trip....staying at 10 other hotels along the way. This was our absolute FAVORITE!!! We had an absolutely amazing cabin with a view of the Capitol Reef cliffs, and it was furnished like a five star hotel!!! We travel extensively and this is truly one of the...

If you are going to Capitol Reef National Park stay here! The location is perfect. We stayed in King suite and it was so very quiet, comfortable and clean. Very interesting other options such as teepees with luxurious queen beds and flats screen television. There are covered wagons with sleeping accommodations too. The food service was courteous and very good...

After spending several days in the Moab area in Utah during October 2016, my wife and I drove to Capitol Reef National Park and spent four nights at the Capitol Reef Resort located just at the entrance of the Park. We were very pleased with our stay. This hotel features regular rooms, cabins, lippies and wagons. We stayed in a...

There aren't a lot of food or hotel options in this area. This seems to be one of the better hotels. Clean room. Beautiful views. Your paying for the view and the proximity to Capitol Reef. Heated pool with hot tub open until 10pm. Breakfast is not included but is available in a spacious room for $10 per adult with...

Location closest you can get to the main Capitol Reef attractions. The rooms are updated and very nice and great view if you're facing north towards the red rocks. We ate dinner at the restaurant and what all we had was very good. Breakfast the next morning was standard fare buffet that you get for free at other hotels. Not...

Let me just start by saying, whoever designed The Capitol Reef Resort website should get a raise. The images of the website show ... well a resort environment with vibrant photos, an expansive property and above average amenities. When you arrive however, you realize you are at an Inn - a basic Inn actually. The rooms are standard. The teepees...

Dear KLMacQ - Thank you for your candid review of your stay here at Capitol Reef Resort. The Fact that we carried the Best Western Brand just a short few years ago is true. I do think saying that we are a Basic Inn is a bit unfair. While we are working hard at updating the existing rooms that had...

We can't complain about the quality of our stay - the room and service were very good but the place does not look like the photos on the website. Nor do the rooms look like what you see on the slideshow that's located in the lobby. And it's not a "resort" - the glasses are still plastic cups wrapped in...

I am sorry to hear that your found your accommodations underwhelming. You are correct however in that we are doing a lot of renovations and upgrading the property. We are looking at changing out some of the amenity's and these include putting coffee mugs and glasses in the rooms as well as updating our other in room items as well....

This is a great venue hotel. The backdrop of the mountains is stunning and sitting outside our room watching the sun set was fab. Rooms are large and clean and there's a couple of restaurants opposite making evening out super easy. The location is perfect for capitol reef and other national parks.

We had a very nice sized room with plenty of seating area. The bed was very comfy and the room had a fridge and keurig. The best thing about this place is the location; it's literally a mile or two from the main entrance to Capitol Reef NP.
