In our limited RV travel experience, KOA's seem to be widely different, and this one rates as good as some of the RV resorts we've stayed at. Yes, it's kind of in the middle of nowhere (half way between Artesia and Carlsbad), and it is an hour's drive to Carlsbad Caverns, which I suspect is a destination for many here....

Would definitely stay here again and whole-heartedly recommend it! This campground surprised us with its amenities. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Their were cute resident rabbits all over the grounds. We enjoyed walking around and visiting with other happy campers. A highlight for us was the astronomy presentation by Starman John, a Johnson-Space-Center-NASA retiree who was kind enough to share...

Thank you for such a kind, detailed review! First, we'd like to apologize for your sprinkler surprise that night - no one wants to be soaking wet! But we are glad to hear you enjoyed our grounds and some of our fun activities like the astronomy presentation, game room, pool, dog park, and all of our other amenities and facilities....

We have stayed here twice while passing through the area. Clean bathrooms and friendly staff. it was not windy or dusty during either trip but imagine the weather could get a bit challenging. Location: Not right in town but good for exploring the area of Carlsbad and Artesia. There is a nice shady sitting spot with a water feature where...

From the moment we drove onto the property, we loved it here. From the grounds to all of the people who work there and even all of the guest.....it was great! We highly recommend this facility to everyone. The staff was some of the best we have met to date.....this includes all of the hotels we have stayed at too!...

Lovely maintained grounds and large pull-thru sites make this a great place to stay. Note that you are about an hour's drive from Carlsbad Caverns National Park. Also, there really is no WIFI to speak of unless you are in the office or laundry room. However, after seeing some of the other RV parks in the region I would highly...

It's ok very wind and dusty.... to far out of town would not stay there again. They say they have a pool but you can't use it because of the wind and dust. The camp spot are nice size, I did not go into the bathrooms so I can't tell you if they are clean.

We spent 4 nights in the Carlsbad KOA and it was very nice. Here's what we liked about it: 1.This is a relatively new KOA with very nice facilities. Don't confuse this KOA with many of the other 'old' A-Frame KOAs with burned-out and decrepit facilities. This one is very modern and worth the price. BTW, there are also tent...
