My husband and I stayed at Hotel East Houston for 3 nights. We had an awesome time. First off the staff at reception were so lovely. On arrival they were so pleasant and checking in was a breeze. We knew the hotel room would be small - and it was, but this was not a problem for us at all.... More

I travel and stay in hotels quite often for business, and I must say, this was one of the most comfortable beds I've ever had at a hotel! The hotel has an AWESOME roofdeck for their guests. Highly recommend that if you stay here, grab a bottle of wine and some cups and go upstairs and enjoy- any time of... More

New York hotels can often be overpriced and overrated – this one, however, was spot on. Positives: Brilliant location, right neat subway station, clean and comfortable, brilliant roof top, friendly and helpful staff, no frills. Negatives: No fridge in the rooms The rooms here are slightly on the small side but you’ll find this in all New York hotels –... More

I hesitate to review this hotel as I want to keep the secret to myself. I don't think I'll be staying at any other hotel when I visit New York again. It's a perfect location with two subway lines just out the door and in walking distance to all the LES has to offer. Are the rooms small? Yes, but... More

Stayed for a week in this hotel when visiting my daughter in New York. It was really good value for money and very comfortable. The rooms were a little small on New York standards but very well appointed, with comfortable beds and all the trimmings. The breakfast were delicious and the people really friendly and helpful. One of the best... More

My partner and I stayed here for 4 nights in early June. I wasn't let down by the good reviews. Reception staff were tremendously friendly and helpful; the location was excellent for exploring the lower side of the island and with a subway 2 minutes walk from the hotel it was also perfect for getting around the rest of Manhattan... Great boutique hotel choice! I usually stay in Midtown but there's so much to do in Nolita (whatever that stands for). The room was similar to other boutiques, comfy for one but would be small for two. Nice dark wood, very good shower, amazing air conditioning! Very quiet though situated right on E. Houston. Subway on the corner and big... More

I stayed here for five nights on a b&b basis, and it was a lovely place. Very reasonable with a boutique feel, very friendly staff and a great (basic) continental breakfast. The piece de resistance for this hotel is most definitely the roof terrace - as a dirty smoker (sorry) I really did get to smoke in style(!), perched on... More

We stayed at this hotel for 7 nights and when we first got there we were a little shocked by both the area and the hotel. We drove down the street to witness a mugging happening just around the corner from the hotel. When we first saw the hotel I was shocked at how small it was, and the rooms... More

2nd time staying at East Houston and enjoyed both times. On my 2nd visit I tried to reserve the roomtop terrace (great views of NYC) to have a picnic but it was prebooked by another party.
