We had an absolutely incredible stay and family wedding for four nights in April 2023. The front desk team was wonderful and met our every request with smiles and assistance! We loved loved loved the room arrangements - you all went over the top! The food and drinks in the lounge and the area behind the lounge were wonderful. Housekeeping was always there and pressed dresses so quickly it was wonderful. We had fun in the Tribecca neighborhood and we can't wait to come back

From the moment you arrive the staff greets you at the entrance on Greenwich, grabs your luggage and car keys and away you go. The staff is well trained on every level. When you need anything it is accommodated in minutes. The lobby is elegant and comfortable. The rooms have some old creeky floors but it adds to the patina of this older hotel. The shower was the highlight with tons of water pressure and a rainfall spout high above which I appreciated at 6'3". The central location to the Freedom tower and great restaurants allows for saving money on cabs and Uber. Whenever I needed my car, a simple ring to the front desk and it was there in 5 min. Thank you for making this time with my college aged sons so memorable.

My recent stay at The Greenwich Hotel in New York was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I entered the cozy lobby, I was enveloped in an atmosphere of luxury and warmth. The room was a perfect blend of modern comfort and timeless style, providing a serene escape from the city’s hustle and bustle. The central location allowed me to explore New York’s iconic neighborhoods with ease, from Tribeca to SoHo. Dining at the hotel’s restaurant, Locanda Verde, was a culinary delight, with locally sourced ingredients and impeccable service. The Greenwich Hotel exceeded all my expectations, and I can’t wait to return to this hidden gem.

We really enjoyed the location of The Greenwich during festive season in NYC. You are away from the tireless crowds of Midtown or The Village yet so close to all the action. This hotel is truly special as the decor and style set its apart from any chain style luxury hotel. This intimate hotel rooms are quaint and charming with individual decor, we loved our courtyard facing room as it was a true oasis in the city with absolutely no traffic or noise from the outside. The beds are amazing and the free mini-bar option is a welcome touch.
The private lounge is a welcome place to start or end your day as the guest only space is quiet, gorgeous and the fireplace adds to the charm of NYC during the winter season. While we did enjoy the hotel very much what kept us from giving out a five star review is the service and hotel restaurant Locanda Verde. The front desk staff is fantastic and friendly but the servers in the guest only lounge and Locanda Verde were painfully slow or had to be flagged down for simple requests like coffee refills or getting a drink. The same wait staff would walk by at least a half dozen times before they would acknowledge you were there. The breakfast options at Locanda Verde were limited in choice and frankly bland.
Truly a great hotel that offers you a unique stay and a welcome respite from the frenetic energy of NYC.

TRIBECA, as the other neighborhoods of the area, have preserved the old industrial buildings of the 19th and 20th century workshops. This hotel is housed in a brick building that looks as an old factory. They managed to convert it in a contemporary 5 stars luxury hotel far from what a midtown luxury hotel used to look. We had 2 deluxe rooms, comfortably sized with a sofa, a writing desk and a adequate sized bathroom. One of the rooms had a bathtub and a compartmented bathroom, the other one had a large doble shower. Everything tastefully furnished in a contemporary elegant style and complimentary minibar. The bathroom with the large shower, had no closures which meant that every time you took a shower the whole bathroom floor would get wet and flooded. WIFI worked very well, service and staff well trained and very kind. A SPA consisting of a well equipped gym and a large indoor swimming pool are tastefully decorated. Breakfast is served in a charming patio or cozy living room with fireplace. The Italian restaurant serves good food, is busy but loudly. In general the whole property has very low illumination. Hallways and elevators should have more light. A nice luxury hotel in a kind of rustic elegant trendy industrial style, convenient if you like to explore lower Manhattan and Hudson River border walks.

This is my favorite hotel in NYC right now. It’s got a lovely lived in vibe in a neighborhood close to family homes, shopping, dining, the water and easy to get Uber stops. Rooms are comfortable, in room treats are included in the price of the room, and the staff are thoughtful and welcoming. It doesn’t get better than that. Feeling like a valued guest is a treat!

We stayed in a room viewing out onto the courtyard. This was an absolutely excellent stay. Breakfast was delicious and the pool was divine. We read a fresh newspaper in the morning with my beautiful breakfast, eventually relaxed and enjoyed the pool area, which I recommend 10/10, and then returned to our rooms to enjoy the most luxurious shower experience. The bed was alright, but an easy thing to overlook. Waiting upon our arrival was Champaign and a cookie, which was splendid. We truly had a wonderful experience! The restaurant was also a must, and room service was excellent!

The Greenwich is all about the personal touch of a staff that truly cares if you are happy. The rooms are compact so we usually get the largest available that is not a suite. The courtyard is very pleasant and once you give your room number there is no check to sign, no hurry-up feeling. It is generally quiet and a great place to read a book during daylight hours. If you are after great service and a generally quiet neighborhood this is a great place to stay in the downtown area.

The Greenwich Hotel is the antithesis of the standard Hilton or Marriott. Yes, you'll pay dearly for it but the feel is more that if an upscale, very exclusive club. There's no sign on the door, it's very low key and if you're not a guest or a friend of a guest, you won't be admitted to the hotel's chic private courtyard bar, which is tony and lined with sofas, a fireplace and a friendly staff. No snobbery or arrogance here - from front desk to waitstaff to housekeeping to doormen, all are nuclear smilers and willing to help. The location can't be beat as it's jammed with restaurants and bars that are all great (and many owned by De Niro), the food's top-shelf. Feels very European. Great liquid soap and shampoos in the rooms, by the way. If your wallet can handle the crunch, this is a calming oasis in a very busy city.

At the hotel we have a mandate that all guests be vaccinated and we would accept that for your children - equally the Johnson and Johnson is a one shot covid vaccine for adults. here in the US so one shot is not unheard of.
Having said that I cannot comment what the entry requirement would be to get into the US.
