Bugs and hair everywhere. Garbage and mice in the rooms. So disgusting and dirty. Gas smell in the rooms make you dizzy. Not secure against intruders at all. Anyone can easily break in your room any time. People who run this place are so incomponent. They took our money for 8 nights in advance. We gave up staying there when...

We stayed there in September. The thing I can say about this hostel is that, it is extremely dirty. There are walking bugs everywhere and also you can see dead bugs on the floor all the time. The building smells bad. We paid 45 dollars per night-per person and this is the cheapest you can get in Nyc. The neighborhood...

been sleeping on the lobby because there is no front desk inside the building, there is one on a lower level but nobody was there. Our plane to NYC was delayed, but we sent them an e-mail 2 days prior to us getting there and they insisted they didn't get none, that's bull...whatever,we got there at 1 am is was night, rain was pouring and...

Have stayed here for 10 days. The owners- great people, friendly and helpful. The rooms are pretty basic, which is what you'd expect for such a price in NYC, as everything, and by that I mean EVERYTHING is so expensive. Also, it's a hostel so, obviously it is simple, yet knowing you're in NYC, why would you spend a lot...

If you can't stand sharing bathroom with a bunch of bugs of mixed kind (at least 3 cockroach confirmed) - stay away! If you, like me, could cope with this and not having your room or common area cleaned for at least 7 days, then the low price an proximity to central Manhattan is factors to take into consideration. I...

Friendly owner - a character. Gave lots of tips on do's and don't's for NYC. The room I had was a "shoe box" but that suited me as I only needed somewhere to rest my head. The wifi worked in the small kitchen area. This accommodation is officially in the Harlem area. There is a launderette right opposite, and a...

Very friendly owners I've got everything I needed. Wish I have found this place long time ago. If you want to stAy in NYC and not willing to spend tones of money, they have those private rooms with tv refrigerator, a little kitchen with microwave hot shower the front rooms has a better wifi.

We stayed at this apartment style hostel here over Christmas and New Years 2013 at total of 10 nights. Greeted by owner who was very nice and made an effort to show us the main site seeing attractions and how to get to them as well as a little info on the neighborhood East "Spanish" Harlem. Benefits of this place...

The hostel is nothing glamorous and it's located in East Harlem, a poor neighbourhood of Manhattan, but it's really close to the subway and Central Park and you will have cheap options to eat in the area (McDonald's, BK, KFC, Subway, Little Caesars Pizza, Dunkin Donuts, etc.). Also, Santos, the owner, is a very attentious person and will help you...
