We stayed 8 nights in a Fantastic Suite and loved it! Separate lounge and bedroom, 2 flat screen tv's, nice modern bathroom and wonderfully comfortable bed. Air-con was a little noisy, but hey this is NYC, we didn't hear it over the horns and sirens most nights! The hotel is within easy walking distance of Grand Central Station, just across...

We stayed at this hotel over Christmas, Dec 24-27. We got a cozy room on the 5th floor, which is very small - not unusual for New York. No coffee maker in the room. View is of the furnace and another building. Bed is very comfortable. Room is clean and modern. They gave us free internet. Nice lobby and lounge....

I've waited a while to write this review, as this hotel was such a bad experience, I was simply trying to block it out. I've stayed at more than thirty of the four stars in Manhattan by now, and I generally don't care for most of them - New York is a city where you seem to have to pay...

The hotel is a great place to stay for young people, the rooms are very small, and for that they gave us free internet access. The bed and sheets are very comfortable and the bathroom has the perfect size. Really like the “Bliss” products, especially the Facial Foam. The service is A++ for the rooms, our floor in-charge personnel Flor...

I have stayed in the W New York (on 50th and Lexington) a number of times and am always extremely happy there. The rooms are not huge but are very comfortable, very clean and modern, with all of the amenities you would expect, including Ipod docks. The Bliss toiletries are some of the best I have seen in a hotel...

In early December we were given the amazing gift of a weekend in NYC at this hotel. Actually surprised to begin writing this and see negative reviews. We were there at the peak of the holiday season and had a very positive experience. Lobby is definitely the happening place for beautiful people, with deafening music. Yet, we were quickly able...

What can you say about an uber expensive hotel, in an uber expensive city with rooms smaller than my closet and yet they cannot be bothered to dust? Well, gross is one word that comes to mind. Gross and dirty. Take your money somewhere else because if you dare say anything negative about the "whatever, whenever" experience, they will question...

Normally W are great. This was average: room was small even when paying for a *larger* room. Room safe broken; food order messed up; lots of noise from the neighbouring room; breakfast much more expensive that other W hotels. Still trendy and good service, but a long way from the amazing experience normal at W.

The good: Hotel is in a great location, close to a lot of good NY spots The bad: Basic rooms are miniscule (imagine jumping across the bed to get to the other side of the room), A/C units are very loud, lighting in rooms is not great, very expensive relative to other places you could be staying

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
