perfect location, 10-15 walk from Penn Station, nice neighborhood in Chelsea, easy to access subway or cabs!. Walk to dinner, Hi-line, galleries, etc. Arrived on Saturday in time for wine and cheese. Nice breakfast- bagels, fruit salad, cereal, french toast...plus a resident cat named Dorothy.

Four of us (2 adults and 2 kids) stayed at the Inn on 23rd for 4 nights. We stayed in the Studio and it was just a perfect arrangement for us. Utilized bed in bedroom, hide-a-bed, day bed and extra roll-away bed in the living room so each person had her own bed. Very spacious, lots of lighting (large skylight...

From the booking to checkout it was just perfect. Clean, large rooms, great people and a perfect breakfast before a long day of walking. Only one prob- the air-condition was a little too noisy but it was such a great place we couldn't even bring ourselves to complain,

The location is excellent. Employees were very helpful. Many small touches made it a thoroughly pleasant experience, for example, museum passes, excellent advice, great maps.

We loved our stay at this friendly hotel/b&b/inn. The individually decorated rooms are a treat; the staff helpful and friendly; other guests were cheerful and friendly; and Dorothy the cat is a trick.

Our daughter's wedding was in NYC and my wife and I wanted our families to be able to enjoy the entire experience together. We could have put everyone up at one of the better hotels in the City but none could give the personal service we received at the Inn on 23rd St. Annette, the owner, and Thomas, the manager,...

We have just come back from a break in NYC and we stayed at this great place. Its a cross between a hotel and a B&B. The rooms are large, well equipped and all individual, we stayed in the loft room which had great furniture and artifacts. Breakfast is included in the library in a very informal setting which was...

My husband and I have been staying at the Inn on 23rd Street for over 7 years. We love it! It is well located, the rooms are comfortable, attractive and clean and the breakfast in the Library is delicious. Nothing over the top - just cozy comfort in the middle of the frenetic pace of Manhattan. The staff is always...

  • Broken furniture (or maybe dumpster dive
  • We're not FANS of dust build-up (enjoy the snow machine)
  • Welcome to your suite (don't bother covering this one up with the faux sheep skin)
  • SHOKINGLY horrendous (Don't like the clanking radiator? But still want heat?)
  • Just gross (carpet everywhere looked like this)
  • Torn blankets (or, another dumpster dive score?)
  • Carpeted lights? Carpeted with dust, that is.
