The Ace has always been a good hotel but on my last visit one their employees Freddy made it truly great. First after taking a red eye he found myself and two friends rooms early so we could check in early. Second when we were leaving he helped us get service at the coffee bar which we needed! Never had a better experience at a hotel and it’s all thanks for Freddy

Great accommodation for a reasonable price by way of a sale offer. The "single" room was adequate space for a couple with minimal needs and belongings. The location of the hotel was great, close enough to attractions yet far enough away from overly touristy places. Moreover, there are decent food options within walking distance from the hotel. Parking was convenient at the adjacent lot, you get a reduced rate if you're a hotel guest. Hotel staff was friendly and prompt with service. Superb bonus after the stay: I made a special request that was surprisingly granted so it was life icing on the cake. Much thanks to David, Director of Front Office, for making that happen!

If you are considering staying at this fine hotel, let me save you the trouble & just BOOK IT! Don't hesitate and go for it! I've always been a fan of the Ace properties, frequent the Palm Springs & NOLA locations. Every hotel feels like a new experience where you are transported into another time. The building itself is very impressive & historic. When you arrive you are greeted by the most delightful front desk staff & instantly you feel like an old friend returning to visit! Just thinking about my experiences so far gives me chills, as I recently started doing work travel again I was a bit nervous to go alone. But when I got to the Ace I felt secure, safe & "at home". The rooms are all unique and feature local art which truly is part of the fun when you open the door. I've stayed twice within the past few months and assure you I will be returning for every business trip if I can. The rooms were spotless & I consider myself on the side of overly critical. Saying that I was truly impressed with how impeccable the rooms were. The lobby is a whole VIBE, where you can relax in the morning with coffee or a cocktail to top off the day! The beds are beyond comfy, love the robes provided & the pillows are made for a princess. I would know, I even bought them for my home! The bathroom showers feel like a waterfall & love that beautiful shampoo, conditioner & body wash is provided. Makes packing a bit lighter & love that it's sourced from Japan!! Special shoutout to David for always making sure I feel right at home. Thank you so much to everyone at the Ace, I can't express how grateful I am to have found such a great place to rest after the chaos of the city! It's great to know I always have a place to call home in NYC!! Cheers!!

The hotel is modern and stylish. Our room was large and had almost everything a typical hotel should have. Two points for improvement here - would be nice to either have coffee in the room or access to complimentary coffee in the Lobby. Also, the TV in our room did not work which wasn't a huge deal for us but should be working in a hotel room.
The main issue we had with our stay was there was no AC in our room that we were able to control. Our stay was the last week of May so the weather was warm and a bit humid. We were walking around the city and returned to the hotel hoping for some cool air. Our room was warm so we called downstairs to ask why our AC was not working and the concierge was very friendly but told us the hotel was on a two pipe system and we would not be able to adjust in our room. He said the best thing to do would be turn the air off completely. We tried this and ended up sweating most of the night. I'm not sure how people would stay in this hotel in the summertime without the ability to have AC. If the Ace fixed this issue, I would definitely stay here again. The lobby is a fun place to hangout and has a great vibe.

1. The location is perfect. There’s so much to do just a short walk from the front doors and the subway is easily accessible as well.
2. The lobby is a stunner. Chill vibes are conveyed through dimmed lighting, a great soundtrack, wonderful bar staff, and some great art. The seating is really comfortable and well spaced to make you feel like you have your own private area even though there’s usually lots of people around.
3. The rooms are well appointed. The beds are really comfortable, just the right balance between firm and soft. The showers have tons of pressure and get really hot if you want. AC works well. We had a record player in our room with a great selection of vinyl that was fun to play while we were getting ready for a night out.
4. The thing that really makes this place special is the staff. Everyone is so friendly! We called down to the front desk a few times to get recommendations on where to go for dinner or drinks and they seemed very enthusiastic about telling us about their favorite spots. Every time we saw a staff member in the hallway they said hello and asked us how our stay and day were going. There were a few times where we left our room for 30 minutes or so and by the time we came back our room was already cleaned!
I will be staying here from now on when I visit NYC and you should too!

This is my third stay at an Ace (twice in Portland), so we knew what we were getting into.
First, the amazing: the view of the Empire State building was spectacular.
Second, the great: really roomy, fabulous shower with good pressure, solid bath products, robe, TWO luggage racks ❤️, good sheets, great lobby, super-friendly and helpful staff, clean, location is convenient to Penn Station and you can easily grab a bus up Madison to the Upper East Side museums (this is what people in Manhattan do), Stumptown off the lobby.
Third, the meh (only 4 stars): our bed was too soft and was kind of sagging in the middle and we were next to the elevator, which was fine for me, but kept my husband up. It was also a little too warm and he had to open the window and run the AC in January (I slept through all of that).
Also, if you're not used to NYC, please drink the tap water instead of buying bottles. It's good. Really, it is.

My company needed a place to work and stay for a group of 20 and Ace is the place! The staff in the hotel was incredible. From the front desk, to the bartenders, baristas at the coffee bar to the cleaning staff, everyone was helpful, smiling and so pleasant. The conference room was a great space to work in and really helped us have a successful week in New York.
They are very good about checking your VAX card and following all the safety guidelines which lead to my entire team feeling safe.
It was centrally located and so this made it nice to get to see a few sights and grab great bites in the city!

For my husband’s birthday we stayed several nights at the Ace hotel last week. I thought nothing can surprise us as we travel a lot, but I was wrong. We stayed at a really nice and spacious suite with an amazing view on Broadway. The hotel room felt like at home, which does not happen often. Also, staying at Ace hotel, I felt like a time traveler. Its vintage style is unique. Moreover, my room had a vinyl record player with discs and a real guitar! Can you imagine that? My husband plays, so this was a real treat for us. It is important to mention how comfortable the bed was.The food in the Breslin is delicious, and the hotel staff is helpful and very friendly. The location cannot be more perfect – it is the heart of Manhattan. Definitely, we will be coming back. Thank you for this wonderful experience!

Really glad that we chose Ace Hotel for our Christmas New York visit. They were great responding to my emails prior to our visit, offering restaurant suggestions and tips.
Our room was spacious and well laid out (2 double beds for the 3 of us). Large Smeg fridge in the room, kettle & two mugs (bring your own coffee, tea, milk, teaspoons). Hairdryer was good too - I have very thick hair and it worked well for me.
Guitar and record player in the room which we didn't use but quirky and fun. TV was good.
Dimmer lights was a nice touch.
Nice products in the bathroom (shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and body lotion).
We discovered the little restaurant for breakfast attached to the hotel (just left as you come out of the lift). Expensive but the food was delicious. We didn't use the bar or Milk Bar (also attached to the hotel), but it all looked great.
Great location and a really nice vibe.

I've traveled to NYC regularly but recently took a job that is headquartered off Canal Street. I stayed at the Ace Hotel and the staff was exceptionally helpful, offered recommendations for food within walking distance and were all extremenly welcoming. There's also a tremendous coffee shop, bar and restaurant at the base of the hotel. Additionally, I filled out a survey that was sent to me and mentioned that a few treadmills weren't working, The front desk manager reached out to me directly to apologize and let me know they have replacements coming in the next few weeks. This kind of attention to detail makes means the world to me while Im traveling for work. Even though its an 15min uber ride away from work, I'll be staying here again. The name Ace isn't a coincidence, this place kicks ass.

There are lots of different room categories, Minis and Smalls are the best value while the Large Kings and Lofts are the most luxurious. I think the Medium room is probably the answer as the most typical room.
