Best value in NYC. All the rooms are huge. There are rooms without bathroom facilities and a suite with a bathroom in it. All are unbelievably inexpensive for NYC. The shared bathroom is no big deal because there are not too many rooms with which...More
Everything was lovely. I would recommend this place to everybody. It is near the subway (155st), so even if it is in Harlem, it is very easy to reach Midtown. The decoration is very authentic, and there was a lot of space in my Suite,...More

As a hub of African American culture, Harlem has played a vital role in the history of New York City. Today, the neighbourhood is as vibrant as ever as new businesses and developments go up next to local institutions. The heart of the neighbourhood is bustling 125th Street, where street vendors and historic landmarks like the Apollo Theater mingle with big-name stores. Turn down almost any corner, and
you’ll discover some of the most beautiful blocks in the city, filled with handsome brownstones, soul food restaurants, corner shops, and scenic parks. For a taste of a real New York neighbourhood, it’s hard to top a visit to Harlem.

Dee, I shared the bathroom but it's really no big deal. You're just sharing with one other room and they keep it really clean. The whole time I was there I never had to wait and always felt like it was higienic. Read my review if you haven't already. I really enjoyed my stay there. If you stay, make sure you eat breakfast there at least once and talk to the owner. He's super cool and keeps to himself, if you want to talk you have to start it. It if you get him talking you'll learn stuff.
