A beautiful house and a beautiful room with a warm welcome from host. It was very warm during our visit and the air conditioning did a reasonable job but very noisy. Food available was cookies, cake, fruit and tea, coffee.

Rather than staying in a soulless downtown Manhattan hotel we enjoyed three wonderful days visiting NYC based in a classic five storey Brownstone house in East Harlem. After sightseeing each day we were so pleased to return to this haven of peace and comfort away from the maddening crowds and located in the now trendy area of East Harlem boasting... More

Mount Morris House is across from Marcus Garvey Park. The suite was tastefully appointed and comfortable. Also quite large. The main floor has very large comfortable common space including kitchen, dining and sitting areas. Free goodies in the kitchen were much appreciated. Recommended.

We were at Mount Morris at the beginning of June, a perfect time to visit New York by the way. Mount Morris is a great place; a beautiful old building, a spacious bedroom with a private bathroom, situated at the back of the house. No noise at all, quite extraordinary for New York. Vasili, one of the owners, was really... More

I read the reviews previously and it all seemed very wonderful. As first timers to New York with 2 couples we were looking for something different but had a whole host of concerns as you may expect. We had really friendly and informative email exchanges before we went with both Vasilly and Dimitri. We found the house full of character,... More

We stayed at Mount Morris for four nights as a family at Easter. The house and rooms were beautiful. Great to have a shared kitchen with drinks and homemade cake and cookies on tap. Location was perfect - really quiet, but a five minute walk to great bars and restaurants and subway. Hosts were absolutely lovely. Would highly recommend.

This is a gorgeous guesthouse in the middle of Harlem right next to subway and bus connection to the city. The house is incredibly nice furnished and decorated and cared about. We felt welcome from the first step into the house and the hosts did everything to make us feel comfortable. The rooms are spacious with antique furniture and tasteful... More

Beautiful guest house in vibrant Harlem neighborhood. Fresh baked goodies everyday, coffee/fresh fruit round the clock, and gracious hosts. Greek opera soothes visitors in glorious parlour...the decor is lovely, the rooms, elegant, and the neighborhood safe, with great restaurants and cafes within walking distance. As a solo traveler, I loved the location and ambiance of the house. It will be... More

We recently spent 4 nights at Mount Morris. We were sent instructions before our arrival so Vasili was there to greet us and show us our rooms. The house is spotless and it is beautiful. There is a book in the room with recommendations of places to eat and we ate at several. They were all good and it was... More
