This hotel was mainly chosen because of it's location on the High Line in the Meatpacking District and it didn't disappoint. The location is fantastic! Walking distance to numerous great restaurants in a vibrant and authentic feeling neighborhood free of tourist traps. The room was very nice; immaculately clean (and housekeeping did an excellent job every day), comfortable bed and...

The most horrible experience I ever had. This "Hotel" is simply a joke. We stayed 1 week without access to the rooftop. Always booked for external private events. For the employees the best definition is MEDIOCRITY !

Standard Hotel is always a good place to people watch. We've stayed at the hotel several times and always a fun time. Top of the Standard is a great bar, and connected to the high line now, so it's a good jumping off point.

I'll admit I have a habit of coming fairly often, but on a most recent visit for my graduation Regina at the front desk really took our stay to the next level and upgraded us to a truly incredible suite! We did have to wait a few hours to check in due to the fact that the guests before us...

The only good things I have to say about The Standard Highline is the location and the view from the rooms on the higher floors on the side with a view of the river. The service was adequate, at best, and the elevator situation and complete lack of access to the roof top bar due to private events all 3...

The Standard Highline Hotel is our favorite stay in Manhattan after visiting here multiple times a year for the last 10 years. Fantastic in-room hot tubs overlooking the Hudson River and located next to a beautiful walk on The Highline. In addition, it is next to the new not-to-miss Whitney Museum! Throw in their restaurant which attracts appreciative eaters not...

Hard to call this an "average" place because it is so unique, but the rooms are designed by someone who doesn't spend a lot of time staying in hotels. Even a standard king room was very small - an exceptionally small closet and a toilet room barely big enough for a 6 foot tall person to turn around. Very few...

I don't get it. The rooms make me feel like I was in a bad 70s movie. The views are great but that's about it. There is nothing special about this hotel to warrant the price. I would much rather stay in a nicer hotel that is better located. Also, despite staying at this hotel, you can't access the top...

Just like all New York hotels, the rooms are small; but the location and amenities here offset that fact. Walking distance to Highline park, Chelsea Piers, Cielo, and Whitney Museum to name a few. Additionally the beer garden on-site is now open! Prost!

Came here on a Sunday afternoon..has a beer bar and a spirits bar. They also do German bar snacks (sausages and the like) as well as giant pretzel. I had a zundenkuss which was gin, strawberry, asperol, lemon and seltzer. Very good. Friendly bar staff. They have two ping pong tables in the middle of the space which adds some...

Staying in West Village

Neighbourhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighbourhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
