Neighbourhood
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighbourhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.

We are back. We were in NY to see the Harry Potter plays. They start at 2pm, well before check in. The hotel inquired ahead of our visit when we would arrive. We arrived at noon and our room was ready! What could have been a stressful time was relaxed and we made the play with

Not visited NYC for a decade and this area is great. Room larger than expected, comfortable bed and quiet. Check in fastest ever and a couple of cool bars. An excellent burger too. All in all surpassed expectations. Would stay again.

There's much to like about The Standard High Line. My favorite are the elevators, which have these amazing video art installations by Marco Brambilla (currently "Creation"). The room was comfortable and spacious enough, but let in too much outside noise for my liking. Earplugs

Is this hotel Kid friendly?
To be honest, not really. It caters to more of a oarty crowd with a great club at the top floor and an awesome rooftop deck, can be bit noisy in the hallway on weekends, don’t think there are any facility for the kids. The location tho is great! short walk to subway stations, Chelsea Market and by Hudson river where you could catch water taxis and instagram worthy spot and of course the highline, where you could walk all the way to Macy’s, Empire State, Madison Sq Garden. The rooms are great with floor to ceiling window and of course spectacular view, its ok for kids not all too bad just nothing catered for their age group.

Does the hotel has a pool inside
Hi there...I visited the hotel for a job interview and got in after 8pm so I'm not sure if they have a pool. You can call the hotel directly to inquire about a pool. I will say that you will enjoy the hotel itself. Hope you enjoy.
