The place is cheap compared to other hotels around. Location is within 5-6 minutes walking distance to Times Square. What bothered me the most was the smell in the hotel. Not a bad smell but not a pleasant one either. Room was so small. Even though it was a shared bathroom, it was not that bad. In the few times,... More

Polite and professional staff, good location, room was clean and quiet but very, very bare bones: linoleum flooring in rooms, bedding was super cheap, hallways smelled stale from folks using little common kitchenettes but without enough venting, shared hallway bathroom... have stayed in similar places when traveling in Europe but again much more like a hostel than a hotel. Would... More

The room was so small I could barley fit my big toe in......... Sow elevator, no big deal.... shared bathroom was no problem, great location! I was a single gal on my holiday, I felt safe although there are definitely some big city noises in the evening!

I chose to stay at this hotel purely due to the price, which is excellent for New York, but also for its great location in Midtown very close to Times Square. The rooms are small and simple but adequate. Let's face it, you are in New York to experience the city not the hotel room. Rooms are equipped with basin... More

No frills room, shared bathroom. Ring bell to get in, lobby on floor 2. TINY elevator, Consider it a nice hostel. City IS loud. Bring ear plugs if you want sleep. No joke. My blinds were broken--used my eye mask. Felt it was safe for all the craziness on the streets. I would return, but not for a work trip/... More

While I was staying there, the management sprayed some sort of fogger that drenched my clothes and the air. I couldn't get the smell out of the room - the fans and ac did not work. I have spent thousands of dollars the last 5 months trying to regain my health. Who sprays while someone is in the room.

Bathroom down the hall was "reasonably" clean. Bed slept fine. Front desk was helpful. No ice, or hot water for tea. Street noise in first floor corner room was loud. (I wore earplugs) Near Bryant Park and the New York Library. Library has good free guided tours. Culture Espresso is a good coffee shop across the street. Best price/location combination... More

You do not come here for luxury, but to have clean lodging in a perfect location close to dining, attractions, and transportation. While the biggest draw back for most people is the fact that these are "shared" baths, it is never a problem here. Super clean, and always available. Also each room has an individual sink. Rooms are no frills,... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
