The Wallace stands out on the Upper West Side, with guests lauding its strategic location near Central Park and museums, as well as its quiet, residential charm. Many guests appreciate the hotel's stylish atmosphere, complete with a cozy piano bar and live jazz, and consistently commend the friendly, attentive service. Although some visitors mention the rooms can be compact and the views limited, the general consensus is that the hotel offers good value, thanks to its cleanliness and modern amenities.

The Hotel is well located on W76th Street so downtown subway easy walk. I congratulate the Hotel on a really comfortable room with plenty of drawers. Lights can be switched off from bed so good lighting to read in bed. Large TV with good picture and all controls worked well.Nespresso machine for coffee and in drawer a packet of pretzel sticks and a chocolate oat bar to greet guest. Firm mattress .Housekeeping very good .I would have liked a magnifying mirror in the bathroom. Front desk Staff friendly and efficient. They answer the phone promptly. There is no restaurant but from 6pm one can get light meal or sandwich in bar. I think they should consider serving muffins, and some fruit and coffee for breakfast in the Bar. There is a Pain Quotidian across the street. I enjoyed my visit.

What an absolute gem of a find in the UWS of Manhattan. Superb location close to shops, delicatessens, the subway and Central Park. Wonderfully peaceful and quiet street. Our room was spacious, comfortable and well designed. We didn’t want to leave. We will definitely return to The Wallace. Thank you to all the helpful staff.

The Wallace is on the Upper West Side which is a great location, accesible to transportation and great shops and restaurants. It is snuggled in a residential area close to coffee shops and both Central Park and Riverside Park. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable. It feels like home away from home

This boutique hotel is amazing. It is close to so many things. There are tons of great places to eat nearby. It's on a quiet street. So when you come back after a long day of fun, not only do you get to enjoy all the comforts of your room, you have a quiet nights sleep. It is the only hotel that I can't wait to go to bed, because they are so comfortable. With it being a boutique hotel, the service is outstanding. Everyone is so friendly.

There are few option on the UWS and those have become tired and expensive. This was a wonderful gem to stumble upon. Service was good, and above all, it was CLEAN! At the top of my list is cleanliness for hotel stays.Nescafe machine in room was nice, not crazy busy, and close to everything in the neighborhood. Bonus points for Earth, Wind, and Fire in lobby!

What a great experience I had staying at the Wallace for my daddy/daughter night out in NYC. Justin Codaro - Director of Front Office and his staff could not have been any more accommodating. My 16year old daughter felt very safe and welcome coming and going. They treated us like family. The rooms are impeccable and very clean. I highly reccomend The Wallace, it's a true delight in the busy city!!

This is clearly the best hotel in the area. The staff have been trained so well and make the stay perfect. Rooms are modern with fine beds and bedding. Only improvement would be keeping the lounge open for longer hours during the day so that one could get a light bite and coffee. Catering more to the guests staying in the hotel.

I would like to review the Wallace Hotel, that I was so looking forward to be staying at, and to spend and experience a wonderful few days at. Prior to spending not even one night at the hotel, I was responsible for securing seven rooms for a function that was held nearby. I was most impressed with Joseph at the front desk, Betty was exceptional, welcoming and always gracious and Cal at the front office was very engaging trying to fix a problem that his superior had created, that being Mr Justin Cordaro. The front desk manager Mr Justin Cordaro, was a huge let down to the rest of the team and certainly not an example to his staff, he is by far one of the rudest and not customer orientated managers who does not lead by example that I have ever met. After politely asking at the front desk at three pm in the afternoon, if I could have my room serviced, I was told by a very rude lady at the front desk by the name of Melvita, that the hotel was busy and basically I had to wait my turn and it would be done prior to 7.00pm. I have never heard of a room being serviced at such a late hour, especially as the hotel rate for this particular hotel was substantial, and we had set our service button at 7.00am that morning. She proceeded to sarcastically and rudely ask me if I had any suggestions for her as to how to get the rooms done faster. We were staying in the hotel for a special occasion, I needed to get ready and dressed to go out, but she did not care at all and told me so rudely that my room will be done, but the hotel has many rooms occupied and I have to wait my turn. We waited another hour and the room was still not serviced, although the service light had been on since 7.00am. My husband then came down and spoke to the same front desk lady ( Melvita) who was also rude to him. My husband then asked for the front desk manager. Mr. Justin Cordero then came to the front desk, he is the rudest man I have ever met in any hotel, take into account we spend our life traveling, and always stay at high end hotels. He proceeded to tell my husband that he has known the front desk lady for 20 years ( Melvita) and said that what my husband told him did not collaborate with what his front desk lady had told him. In other words he believed her. I am not sure what she told him as all I asked for was that the room be made up. His tone was obnoxious, opinionated, rude and could not care, he was one of the worst front desk managers I have met in decades of traveling and his front desk colleague ( Melvita) who had the same attitude told my husband she will be rude to my husband despite the fact that it was in front of her manager after my husband told her how rude she was. We will NOT be returning nor would I recommend anyone to stay at this hotel and if you have plans to stay at a New York hotel in the same price range, I know you will find a hotel without Mr. Cordaro or his front desk assistant Melvita’s attitude and rudeness. Mr Cordaro and Melvita do not belong at the Wallace Hotel, as they are a let down to the rest of the excellent staff. Addressing a simple “can housekeeping” please make up our room and addressing this request so rudely as they both did in front of other staff members does not set an example to the rest of the wonderful team. If the general manager happens to read this review I would more than welcome to communicate as to what transpired.

Dear sanmerle We regret that your stay was not as we intend all our guests stays to be and acknowledge that as hard as we try we may not be able to please everyone.. It stands in stark contrast however to the well over 600 Five Star reviews The Wallace has garnered. It should also be mentioned that both Justin and Melveta have been highlighted positively on many many occasions for their excellent service again contrary to your experience. There are many comments that you make that we refute and in fact your interaction was so aggressive that other guests even can to our teams defense. Again our regrets for your disappointment.
