Very nice hotel in financial district, close to everything we wanted to do such as ferry to Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, North End Grill, World Trade area. Plenty of activity around hotel on weekend. Appreciated valet parking, fitness facilities and breakfast in hotel.

My friend and I stayed for an overnight on a Sunday night to see a show and the 9/11 memorial. We arrived early and were able to drop our bags and go out to the city. The staff called within an hour to say our room was ready. Really nice lobby. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room...

Stayed here the night before the marathon - really enjoyed it. Rooms are large and well appointed, the restaurant downstairs is very decent. I chose this hotel for it's specific location but would have been glad to have stayed longer.

Our 2nd visit to NYC and we decided to stay in a different area to our last visit. We stayed on 5th avenue last time and when we first booked the Gild Hall i was a little worried that it wouldn't match up to Langham Place. The price of Gild Hall is slightly cheaper and its down in the financial...

This hotel is well priced for New York if you want to stay in the Financial District. We wanted to stay near family who live near here but otherwise would recommend staying further uptown, with more nightlife etc. That being said, this hotel is great. Trendy, helpful staff, decent room size (for a New York hotel). The welcome champagne was...

We had originally booked to stay up in Midtown for our first trip to NYC but began to be put off by some of the reviews - large hotel, busy, service not great etc. As a result we went back to our tour operator and that's when we discovered Gild Hall was available as one of their alternate choices. Switching...

My wife and I stayed here on a Saturday night to celebrate our anniversary. The hotel has a small lobby with games (chess, checkers, tic tac toe) and books set out that you can enjoy. There is an Italian restaurant connected to the hotel that looks really nice, although we didn't get a chance to eat there. The room has...

Gild Hall is a nice boutique-style hotel in the Financial district, down a quiet, unassuming street close to the 9/11 Memorial, Wall Street and a short walk to Tribeca or Battery Park. Rooms are surprisingly big (for New York), decorated in hipster style, quiet and clean. Staff were friendly. The Italian wine bar and restaurant in the lobby is quite...

Only stayed at this hotel due to a cracking deal at the time of booking. On arrival myself and the girlfriend were given complimentary prosecco (she had mine too!) and as...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Aspen meets Wall Street at Gild Hall, Thompson Hotels' Lower Manhattan luxury lifestyle design property. Located on Gold Street in the heart of the financial district with nearby landmarks such as the 9/11 memorial, Freedom Tower, Brooklyn Bridge and Statue of Liberty, Gild Hall brings a new level of design savvy and service to Manhattan's most historic neighborhood. Designed by Jim Walrod, the unpretentious yet luxurious hotel offers 126 rooms and suites including meeting space for up to 15 people. Our rooms feature oversize leather-tufted headboards and elegant custom-designed furniture, topped with rich flannel throws and mahogany details, some adorned by dramatic chandeliers. Felice Ristorante & Wine Bar offers authentic Tuscan fare complete with one of the best Italian proprietary wines - bottled from Fattoria Sardi Giustiniani, the owner's vineyard in Lucca. Effortlessly blending classical European sensibility with American contemporary style, Gild Hall serves as a modern-day gentleman's club for the kings and queens of Wall Street. ... more   less
