Chelsea Pines Inn is very conveniently located on 14th St close to the metro station on 8th Ave and a short stroll to Chelsea Market and Whithney Museum of American Art. The location is mostly quiet however rooms facing 14th street do get affected a bit by the traffic The B&B is located in an old building, however renovation is...

I really just heard about this place directly thru tripadvisor. At one time I think it was 1 overall for NYC, WOW! I do see how it is able to stand out. Just the decor and theme of this place is wacky and fun mixed with high quality product. You know the city is gonna be expensive, so might as...

Great staff, but the carpets and walls just seem dirty / dingy, and there was a giant cockroach by the breakfast buffet one day, heading for the food. To be fair, the staff threw everything away, but when I emailed saying they were probably coming from outside, with an Amazon link to some traps that might help, there wasn't even...

This is my 2nd visit here - basic but clean. Not for older people as there is no elevator. You should go somewhere else for breakfast. Maid service was excellent and very friendly. Tai the receptionist was welcoming and very helpful. Sean could be more customer friendly. Overall, very good value for money. I will be back.

I stayed there with my 7-year-old daughter for one night for work. The building must have been an apartment building as our room has something like an entrance to an apartment. Very interesting as if we were visiting a friend's home...Spacious and very clean. The shower is great and the bed is so comfortable. There is a mini fridge in...

Still a good value and good location but we discovered that a big part of the attraction in our past visits was the warmth, local info, and personal touch the former owners and staff cultivated. New coffee machine (meh), fewer breakfast goodies, and indifferent staff at front desk made us sad and more aware of the tiny rooms and steep...

Each room is decorated with pictures of old movie stars. Sean makes fresh bread/cakes every morning for breakfast. Tea, coffee, homemade iced tea, snacks available all day. Ideally located close to a subway. Fantastic area to explore with Chelsea market close and lots of interesting cafes and restaurants. They produce a newsletter each day full of great ideas for tourists....

We stayed at the Chelsea Pines Inn, in the (sadly departed) Debbie Reynolds room. This was a suite which had plenty of room for our party of 3 to relax and enjoy our stay. This is a perfect place to stay in the Chelsea area. It is just a short walk to the start of the High Line with plenty...

Cozy, friendly and with a great personality. The staff is great. The prices are great. The (free) cookies are great! The decor of the hotel is something very unique that I hadn't seen before. I will now stay here every time I go to NYC.

Chelsea Pines is a small property with a lot of personality! The property is beautifully decorated in the old movies theme, rooms are spacious, bed super comfortable, delicious breakfast and super friendly staff. Don't worry about the walk ups (they don't have elevator): staff helps with luggage and all the rest of the experience overcome a few stairs to climb...

Neighbourhood Profile
Chelsea
Home to hundreds of art galleries, beautiful brownstones, and one of New York’s newest and most popular attractions, Chelsea is one of the city’s jewels when it comes to neighbourhood life. The contemporary art scene is an integral part of the neighbourhood’s identity, with gallery openings almost every night of the week and countless exhibits to explore. As a longtime hub of gay culture in New York City, it’s also a diverse district with a vibrant nightlife scene. The opening of the High Line, an abandoned elevated train track transformed into a world-class pedestrian park, gave this neighbourhood new life as a tourist destination. The High Line provides visitors with a tranquil, elevated space with incomparable views, providing an unparalleled way to experience the city.
