We were so thankful to Bryn, the advisor who welcomed us to the hotel! We asked about a paid upgrade from a Queen to a King room, but Bryn was extremely gracious and offered to make it complementary! The hotel is impeccably stylish and lives up to the minimalist vibe while still feeling welcoming and luxurious. Totally satisfied and will be back! Thanks again Bryn for the lovely start to our stay!
I had an amazing weekend with my best friend at the Public Hotel. I loved the efficiency of the Public App and self check-in. The hotel staff was exceptionally nice and helpful. Angel and Wolfgang were the best!! We had one small hiccup and they helped us us every step of the way. We enjoyed dining at Popular and had great pastries and coffee at Louis. We can’t wait to come back!
I loved staying at the PUBLIC Hotel. It is an iconic NYC establishment. To begin with, the hotel is located in a hip and happening part of the city. It's very convenient to get anywhere from the hotel, should you choose to venture out. With that said, I could spend my entire day in the hotel. It is beautifully designed, with incredible aesthetic touches in every area. There is a cafe, bar, restaurant, and lounge area that are beautifully designed and teeming with a fashionable crowd. The rooftop feels like a luxe and private club. The rooms evoke a sense of calm, peace, and luxury unlike any other 5 star hotel I have been to, and the hotel service is first class to top it off. If you are looking for a 5 star experience in New York City, stay at the PUBLIC Hotel.
I have been wanting to stay at The Public Hotel for a while and decided to book for my birthday weekend! This hotel is so stylish and modern with a very friendly staff and multiple bars and places to eat. Check-in was quick and easy. We had a very nice room on the 16th floor with an awesome view of the city. Also, the room did not feel as cramped as some reviews suggested. There was plenty of space for two people. And - this hotel is picturesque, so if you are trying to capture special occasion or content photos/video - it is perfect on the outside and inside. Overall, I enjoyed my stay here and have already recommended to others. Will definitely be back on the next visit to NYC!
I have stayed at this hotel twice. Once in May 2019 and once in April 2022. My stay in May 2019 was amazing, but the stay in April 2022 was not great at all. I’m giving this hotel 3 stars because the first stay was definitely a 5, but the second stay was a 1 or 2. In May 2019, I stayed in one of the double twin bed rooms with my friend. We had a great view, a clean room, a great experience at the restaurant, and all of the staff we spoke to were very friendly and helpful. The one thing that I didn’t like for both stays is the fact that the bathroom door slides and doesn’t completely seal off and the walls to the bathroom are frosted glass. Very little privacy. In April 2022, completely different experience. I went with my husband and we booked a King room. It ended up being on a lower floor, with a view of a building, and the room was extremely small, it felt smaller than the twin double room I stayed in previously. My husband asked an employee if we could upgrade our room and employee said yes and described a few options we had. My husband said which room sounded good and the employee said he just needed to get authorization and we should checkin with him in a couple hours. We went back to him and he said that the room ended up going to someone else, but he had another room option that we could move into the following day, we said it was fine and spent that first night in our original reservation. My husband went downstairs the following morning to talk about the room transition, but it was a different employee and he said that wasn’t possible and that the other employee was mistaken. He said he had an upgrade room for us the following day and said to checkin with him in the morning. Then the exact same thing happened again… the room magically disappeared. It was a frustrating experience, to say the least. Everyone we spoke to told us one thing and then we were let down over and over again. If it was communicated to us the first day that an upgrade wasn’t possible, we’d accept that and remain in the room we were initially given, but to be told multiple times by multiple people that they had a room for us and then basically receive a “just kidding” was ridiculous. I was very disappointed in the experience and even though the first stay was great, I will not be returning to this hotel.…
This is definitely my favorite place to stay in nyc! The whole hotel is very aesthetically pleasing, the staff are really helpful with any questions you have the the location is perfect to all my favorite restaurants! Overall a great stay, loved the room (didn’t feel too small for a couple) and the beds were so comfy! Lots of cute photo opportunities!
I stayed here for my birthday. It was a perfect choice. I got beautiful pictures because every spot of the hotel is truly art. The staff is amazing at checking us in, in less than five minutes. I was able to use the facilities like the gym, and everything was super clean and gorgeous. Definitely recommend!
Friendly village pub and restaurant. Had lovely meal in pleasant atmosphere. Asked to exchange battered cod for baked and was offered delicious chive and white wine sause with it. Interesting menu. Helpful welcoming staff.
Just checked into Public Hotel for a 7 night business stay. Already beyond impressed with the attentive, accommodating, and friendly customer service. I inquired about a larger room when checking in and Apollo helped me get everything taken care of. He was patient and charming as he liaised with his manager on availability, walked me through the difference in price, and got me fully situated into a larger room before I’d even removed my coat! He’s an absolute gem, and really went above and beyond. I’ve been wanting to stay at this property for ages, and am so thrilled to finally be here. Apollo and team have already made this a great visit. Full review on my stay to follow next week.
Oh my goodness, this place is amazing. My partner and I stayed on the 15th floor and we had an incredible view. The room was so chic and cozy and clean. Plus its in a perfect location, so its easy to get around to anywhere you want to go, but they also have so much right in the hotel. People were hanging out and playing pool in the lobby, we went to the club up on the roof (anther great view), and we grabbed breakfast at the hotel which was incredible. I would definitely recommend staying, and make sure you grab coffee while you're there!
