Perfectly located, safe and clean. We booked a shared bathroom as it was just the 2 of us and we only ever had to wait once. Bathroom was always clean, room was small but comfortable (we only slept in it, spent all day out) Close to the subway and places to eat. I would recommend this place to anyone going...

Our first trip to New York so we were not sure what to expect. I really enjoyed the character of the hotel. The old elevator was an experience. We stayed in a room with a private bathroom for a bit extra, but after staying there would have used the shared bathrooms. They looked very clean and well maintained. The rooms...

My Fiance and I thought it would be cool to stay at an older hotel while we were in NYC. One reason we liked it was because we got a good deal for it being in New York. It kind of reminded me of an old movie hotel. It has an old elevator and very skinny hallways. Which was tough...

Fair price. We made the reservation 5 months before the check in, so we could find a good price. The heater is OK and the cleaning as well, but the only problem is the Internet connection. WiFi doesn't work very well.

Stayed for thanksgiving week the hotel is very clean and located well and staff are very friendly. Our room had a private bathroom we were a family of 4 staying there and we were fine. The hallways are narrow but you learn how to manouvre them. I would stay there again happily for the price.

I'll just bullet point my review then summarise. Not so good points:- Sweltering heating on through the night. Air con units outside the bedroom window (audible but never that intrusive). Loud aircon unit in room. Four coat hangers. No hooks on back of door. No kettle. Three hard pillows for one double bed. Good points:- Fantastic staff! Friendly, helpful, go...

We enjoyed staying at this small boutique hotel in midtown Manhattan. Nice restaurants and Starbucks close by. Subway just a block away. We had a room with a private bath which was nice! Elevator was out of service on our last day- had to walk down 8 flights of stairs with luggage. Management should bring in help to carry luggage...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
