What a great hotel! Went to New York for a quick 3-day trip to see my twenty-something granddaughter and couldn’t have picked a better hotel. Centrally located, wonderful beds, the best feather pillows ever (but they offered a choice of foam, too) and THE most fabulous view from our 25th floor room (attached). The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, beautifully appointed and had all the usual amenities (coffee, ironing board, robe, large flat-screen TV and LOTS of storage space). They offered free coffee, espresso, tea and divine hot chocolate on the third floor any time you wanted it. Sandy was the staff person at the front desk and couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful. All in all, a terrific stay and I couldn’t imagine staying anywhere else on my next trip to New York.
There really aren’t enough nice things to say about this extraordinary hotel! Not only is the location ideal— centrally located near several restaurants, shops, sites of interest, and even a short stroll to Central Park, but also 2 blocks from an (E,M) subway station and 5 short blocks away from an (N,R,W) subway station. This makes getting to the hotel from LGA super simple with a total 35 minute trip on the currently free Q70-SBS LaGuardia Link +Select bus to Roosevelt Av/74 St and then the E subway from Jackson Hts - Roosevelt Av directly to two blocks from the hotel. Don’t miss out on this tip, as it’s a lot easier than you’d think and infinitely cheaper at just under $3 vs anything else you’d do. Entering the hotel is a full sensory experience! You leave the bustling NYC streets and are immediately enveloped into a haven of inspiring music and alluring aromas. The lobby area is cozy and clean, but opens to a spacious and convenient check-in/check-out counter, which is situated immediately across from the elevators. This layout and the super efficient check-in process makes it truly uncomplicated to get in from your journey to the hotel and be in your room in a matter of moments. The elevator requires key cards to access your appropriate floor, which adds to the effect of safety and security. While there are 37 floors in this hotel, the elevators are modern and fast, so it never took too long going up or down. The beauty of the layout or the floors is that there are only 4 suites per floor! It’s so divine to not be disturbed with lots of people running up and down the hallways while you’re enjoying the truly BEAUTIFUL rooms. There are so many options to choose from, but I spent my time in a 28th floor Premier King, which was 325 sq. ft or 30 sq. m of well appointed goodness! I had some critical criteria in my hotel selection for this particular visit and they nailed them all: King Bed (which is not easy for boutique or chain hotels to pull off in real estate challenged Manhattan); a desk for some work; solid free wifi; a large modern TV; huge windows with a spectacular view; couch (leather cushioned window bench in this case) seating; a mini refrigerator; Nespresso; air conditioning, noiseless walls/ceiling and a separate bathtub and shower! The ambiance in the room was stylish and comfortable— you’d easily feel like not leaving, which was the goal! However, when I did journey out for daily adventures, I was truly grateful for the convenient location and ease of transportation— subway, Uber, and walking. On the 4th floor, there was a well appointed business center and a solid gym with cardio and weight machines, free weight dumbbells, towels, water, AND a full bathroom with shower! While I didn’t use it, there was a cute restaurant right off the lobby. Truly you couldn’t ask for anything more or better, but they gave you more anyway! I saved the best for last. The primary reason this will be my GO TO NYC hotel from now on is the incredible staff! Seriously MAJOR kudos to the friendly and helpful staff that were on hand ALL THE TIME to help in any way possible. And they all genuinely cared about the guests. From the second I checked in to every time I walked in/out of the hotel, they remembered me and would take time to chat and see how I was enjoying my stay. When I left, it felt like I was saying goodbye to old friends! So, thank you tremendously Sandy, Kiara, Ivana, and Samuel— this hotel is ONLY as good as you are, and you are awesome! Do yourself a favor— do not pass on this hotel, but do save room for my visits!…
My wife and I are frequent guests at the Concorde Hotel NY. It is very clean and the staff is very well trained. We feel welcomed and all our concerns have been appropriately handled. On our last visit, Sandy, at the front desk was particularly helpful with our check in. From then on Sandy greeted us by name each time we passed by and asked if we were enjoying our visit and if there was anything she could do for us. We’ve already made a reservation for our next NYC trip. Thanks to the entire staff.
Avalon and Liz at the front desk know how to take care of their guests. Ironically, the customer service at the front desk was our most discussed memory from our December holiday weekender. Covering the Eastern U.S. visiting up to seven states a week has me living out of a suitcase with a keen eye out for hotels featuring phenomenal customer service after having stayed at as many forty hotels in Manhattan. The Concorde is now my only hotel of choice in NYC. The front desk at many midtown hotels rivals what many describe as being treated by prison guards. Some ponder that it’s due to the unions, but all agree that management is who makes the difference. The supersonic speed at which the front desk was able to accommodate a special request with grace and discretion really set themselves apart. Customer service may matter more to me than the actual property, but this hotel is across the street from a block-long church, so it’s super quiet on any floor while still being in the heart of the City. …
We didn’t know anything about this hotel and It was a very good surprise! Extremely well located, we’ve been kindly welcomed by the team. Spacious and clean room, located on the 31st floor (we didn’t have problems with the elevator). Wonderful view! Good memories!
The Concorde is the best hotel I've ever stayed at in my life. ROOM: I stayed in the Ambassador Parlor King room on the 37th floor, and it was GORGEOUS. Apparently the 37th floor used to be all one big 2-bedroom suite, but it was broken up into 3 rooms sometime recently. The front desk told me there is an ambassador king and an ambassador queen. The king is what was the "primary" room when it was a whole-floor suite, which means it has a massive bathroom with a tub and a huge shower. The bathroom alone is the size of most New York hotel rooms. Pretty awesome. The bedroom area is a single room, so no separate area like you think of with a "suite" if that's what you're looking for. The bed is super comfortable, the closet is a great size, and I appreciated how much drawer storage the room had. The space was designed very well and intentionally. VIEW: The Ambassador Parlor King faces north and has a lovely view of several buildings. I loved how you felt like you were among the skyscrapers, but you weren't just staring into another building up-close. It was exactly the view I was hoping for. CLEANLINESS: I read another review about how clean the rooms are, and I can confirm this!!! Hotel rooms usually have a little grime hiding in the corners or in the tile grout, but this room was so clean, it looked brand new. We chatted with the housekeeping ladies in the mornings in the elevator and they are SO sweet. LOCATION: I usually stay in lower Manhattan for the vibrancy so I was worried about feeling isolated in the UES, but I actually really loved the location. Several convenient subway stops nearby, and it's a quick 15-20 minute walk to the park/5th Ave shops, etc. HOTEL/SERVICE: Everyone who worked here was so nice, from Abdul at the bell desk to the front desk staff. The little restaurant in the back is cute although we didn't eat there. The lobby was really cool, and the lobby bathroom was super nice and clean and a good place to freshen up if you need to before your room is ready. Overall, I can't say enough great things about The Concorde Hotel. I can't wait to come back again.…
I recently stayed at the Concorde Hotel for a second time and, once again, I really enjoyed my stay. The location is perfect: the hotel is very central and close to all the midtown sites. My south-facing room had a great view and was quite spacious. (I also loved the bed sheets.) The staff were exceedingy pleasant, even on this very busy Thanksgiving weekend, and gave me my room several hours early. In short, this is just a very well run, friendly and comfortable place to stay. And the price, by NYC standards, was good too.
Hotel consists of 120 rooms (4 per floor). The king room we had was large (and huge by NY standards). Modern, clean and well appointed-large shower, separate tub, desk, “window seat” and a place to spread out luggage. Lobby is small but airy and cute. In house restaurant was great to grab dinner. Staff: attentive and pleasant. We especially enjoyed the bellman/doorman Barry. He always welcomed us with a warm greeting as we were coming and going and was ready to help with suggestions, taxi, storing luggage etc. He made us feel as if we were coming home each time we returned to the hotel.
Good location in the centre of Manhattan - rooms a little bit loud (traffic) - Barry is one of the best Concierge i have met so far… Good restaurants near the hotel - nice christmas trip with my famiöy
I managed to somehow double book the room through a third party app - both bookings were non-refundable- Sandy Ivana was so helpful in figuring out a solution. I was able to rebook for another weekend, saving me both money and more importantly, a scolding from my wife.
