Hotel Mimosa New York stands out for its stellar location in the heart of Chinatown, surrounded by local dining spots and easy subway access, although the nearby bridge can contribute to noise. The rooms, while compact, are praised for their cleanliness and cozy beds. The staff's warm hospitality and exceptional service have earned high marks from guests.
Despite some audible train sounds, the hotel maintains a tranquil atmosphere. Travelers find great value in its competitive pricing and commend the overall cleanliness and handy amenities.

I only stayed two nights, but I had a really good time!
Friendly and helpful staff: they gave me a map of the surroundings and a list of places of interest and where to eat (breakfast, lunch and dinner).
The room was spotless; a little small, but for just one person it was more than enough.
Super-stocked bathroom with towels, shower products (shampoo, conditioner and shower gel), hairdryer, toothpaste, toothbrush, razor blade, comb and body cream.
The only "flaw" is that it is very close to the subway and therefore you could hear noise, but after a while you get used to it and after a certain time, in the evening, very few trains pass.
Excellent location, close to the subway stations, the Brooklyn Bridge, Little Italy, Soho and the World Trade Center and Wall Street areas, easily reachable on foot in about twenty minutes.
I would recommend it and if I were to return to Manhattan, why not, I might even stay again.
Excellent quality/price ratio.

This was our second stay at this hotel (the first in 2018). The rooms, although not very spacious, are well soundproofed and the bedding is impeccable. The bathroom is well stocked and everything is very clean.
The provision of a room in the basement equipped with single-use cutlery with a microwave, a fridge and a sink is very practical to avoid having to eat meals outside. Since 2018 prices have increased enormously in NY. Don't be surprised that even though you have paid a deposit, you are asked for your entire stay upon your arrival... The staff is discreet and courteous but the Nespresso machine available free of charge to customers has disappeared (sniff).

We were looking for a good but inexpensive hotel in New York, which we definitely found with Hotel Mimosa. We will definitely recommend the hotel to friends and family on a trip to New York. The rooms offer everything you need for a city break, although they are rather small due to the immense prices on site, but they are very clean and equipped with a generous vanity kit, hairdryer and TV. You can also leave your luggage there with a clear conscience, as it is stored in a separate room. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and you can also buy bottles of water at reception for just one dollar. Overall, we were very happy with our choice and can expressly recommend Hotel Mimosa.

So the Mimosa doesn't contribute to the NYC experience. But it is clean. The rooms are small and the noise from the Manhattan Bridge is muffled through the windows. It didn't bother me, but thunderstorms don't keep me from sleeping either. The subway stations on three different lines are all within 5 to 10 minutes' walk, so you can get to every corner of Manhattan in no time. The reception staff are very friendly and helpful. They also sell still water, which is much cheaper than I've seen anywhere else. WiFi was very good in 201. The FireTV stick worked well on the smart TV. There were enough power sockets.

Lovely wee spot. The location in Chinatown is great, it is very clean, the beds are made up with quality linen — and absolutely do say yes to their recommendations of local Chinatown eateries! Lots of great places, too many to try on one trip so I’ve had to note a few for my next visit

My husband and I booked at Hotel Mimosa for our anniversary trip and we were very happy with our stay! The room was small but very clean/accommodating for the both of us and we deeply appreciated access to our own bathroom. The bedding was very comfortable; to our surprise/delight the small desk beside the bed had outlets, a nice big lamp, and wireless charging. The TV being a smart TV was excellent because we could stream whatever we wanted before bed. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, they gave us several lists of food recommendations during our stay! This hotel is right across from a large bridge with subway/train lines running every ten minutes or so BUT DONT WORRY, you can hardly hear ANY outdoor noise within the room. It sounded more like low rumbling rain than a busy subway. This hotel is also only about an 8 minute walk from a subway station (F Line, East Broadway station). Another thing to note is the curtains in the room are the most intense blackout curtains, we woke up at our usual 8am rise and thought it was midnight! We'll definitely be repeat visitors to this lovely hotel

Hotel Mimosa's front desk service is outstanding. When you arrive, they offer handouts suggesting different types of restaurants in the area. Bottled water is available for a dollar. My room was just a little bigger than the bed, but it offered a lovely night view of the new World Trade Center tower and surrounding buildings. I was never bothered by the trains outside. Actually this is one of the quietest hotel experiences I've had anywhere. There is a small fully outfitted bathroom. Everything is very clean. No coffee available but a fancy device to heat water in the basement. I brought tea bags and ended up enjoying that. I had not visited New York in many years and am a senior. I found midtown and Times Square very crowded and exhausting at times. So I really enjoyed coming back to the Chinatown/Lower East Side neighborhoods. They are charming spaces, with the right number of inhabitants. It was a relief to be staying in this area. The East Broadway subway stop, which is a couple blocks away, basically offers a fast way into the main tourist parts of the city.

We stayed at the Hotel Mimosa while in town for a friend's wedding and absolutely loved our experience. The hotel focuses on the things that are most essential in a value-conscious stay: a quiet, spotlessly clean property with very comfortable beds. The rooms are small but supremely efficient, and staying in Chinatown was a blast! We will definitely be back to the Hotel Mimosa!

So pleasantly surprised by how comfortable we felt here. We only had one night but we were feeling nervous because we had booked one of the most budget friendly hotels in the area. This hotel felt so safe and clean. The rooms, although much smaller than average, were very nice and had all the essentials. Bathroom came with quality soaps, hair product, toothpaste and toothbrush. We really didn’t mind the size, but if that’s an issue maybe call to see if they have larger rooms available. At night, they lock the hotel front door and only let in guests carrying a key which made us feel very assured that we were safe. The staff was very professional and we loved the curated lists for local picks of restaurants and cafes all in walking distance. Chinatown in NYC is truly special and my fiancé and I already decided any visit we make in the future will be at hotel Mimosa.
For a traveler on a budget, I consider this a 5 star!

Everything was great, i have no complaints. If you do your research you will know that the hotel is close to the subway and some sounds may leak through the windows. The room was cleaned upon request, meaning you would hang your sign out and then your room would be cleaned.

Hello,
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We do not have a refrigerator or coffee maker inside the guest rooms. We used to have espresso in the lobby prior to the pandemic and before our renovation.
We do have a large communal refrigerator for all guests to use in our basement. Generally, guests put any kind of medicine into a container and mark it with their room number for this refrigerator.
Thank you again and all the best
