Gorgeous builiding located uptown manhattan. Surrounded by lots of shops and restaurants. A short walk from Sylvias Famous Soul food restaurant. One block away from the subway station. Complete independence when you stay here. Have your own key and can come and go as you please with no interference. Fabulous host, gorgeous property, very reasonable, would stay again in a...

We had a very nice stay at this place. It's really well located (5 min walk to the subway), the building is gorgeous and well looked after by the owner, the rooms are nice and clean and the owner is very helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend as a cheaper but still very pleasant place to stay in New York.

Don't let the polarised reviews out you off from booking here. Yvette the host has very straight forward rules. You can tell upon meeting her that she is house proud, extremely clean and asks for nothing but respect of her property. Myself and my girlfriend stayed here for four nights and had an amazing time. Yvette gave us fantastic recommendations...

Our stay here was faultless. Yvette is a fantastic host and she made us feel at home as soon as we arrived. Our room was very authentic and the house itself is full of charm and character- a real insight into how New Yorkers live. Each morning we awoke to new treats in the kitchen from Yvette- I had the...

A friend and me stayed for a weekend. We wasn't told that the check out was at eleven. When we tried to check out around 12:00 pm, but she wasn't at the hostel. We had to wait for her, and couldn't get a train for the airport but a taxi ( much more expensive). She didn't returned back the whole...

Everything is put in writing prior to arrival and I also mention it in my greeting. 11:00AM Check out. They went out early and returned at 12:25PM then instead of apologizing blamed me for it.. If they took a cab it was because they were late. They also left the kitchen dirty and there is a sign asking that you...

Really enjoyed staying here last summer. I came very early but the hostess was really kind to let me leave my bags there beforehand. She and her sister were super friendly and helped me find some of the best places in New York! It's at an ideal location close to a few Metro (and one train) stations. One of the...

A great guesthouse in Harlem. Yvette is such a nice owner and will fill your head with great places to eat and stories about the area. It's located on a beautiful street and the house is an amazing brownstone. Close to the 125th subway, where you are one express stop from Midtown and there are lots of great restaurants nearby,...
