We stayed at the Andaz on 5th Avenue for my wife's 30th birthday treat. We were expecting their to be some noise due to being so close to the 5th Avenue and 42nd St intersection but we were pleasantly surprised. All we heard at night was the room air conditioning system which again wasn't noisy at all. The only complaint...

Dear Graham S, Happy Belated 30th Birthday to your wife! You did good by coming to NYC to celebrate her! I'm happy to hear that you had a great stay overall. Sorry to hear about the hiccup with the tea...but glad that everything else was faultless. We look forward to your next stay! Very Best, Cornelia Samara

Very attentive staff from check-in to check-out. Rooms are very city chic, amazingly large--felt like a small condo rather than a hotel room. Loved the bathroom and the large rain shower. Bathroom lighting a little dim for applying make-up, but great mood setter. Complimentary beverages and snacks, robes and slippers all nice perks. Normally when I'm on vacation I spend...

This is a great place to convert your Hyatt points into a free stay while visiting NYC, although they have figured this out and have raised the minimum points needed for a free night. Most rooms are very quiet for this part of town. The breakfast/lunch menu is combined into one, and the ground floor restaurant is well above average...

Dear Reservationaless, Thanks for the great review despite the comical experience in the restaurant! Honestly, we must have had a serious situation for someone to be serving you on their first day! I promise that we typically go through rigorous training....Glad to see that we still get a 5 Star review! Thank you. We look forward to taking care of...

This was the second time my wife and I stayed at the Andaz and we were again very pleased with the hotel and the staff. The room was extremely clean with a good view of the New York library as well as Times Square in the background. The location is especially good as it is only a 5 minute walk...

This was my first trip to New York. I visited with my wife and our mothers. We chose Andaz because it was for a special occasion. (Mother-in-law’s 60th birthday) The reviews for the hotel were some of the best we had seen so we decided on this hotel. When we first arrived we were warmly greeted by the members of...

I am a Diamond member with Hyatt and have stayed at Hyatts all over the world. Sometimes I get upgraded to a suite just for my loyalty. The lady at check in told me to wait a minute to ask if she could upgrade me. She said yes..it was a loft room which really is the same level as I...

Our family of 4, stayed for 2 nights over Christmas. We had the room with the corner balcony and 2 master bedrooms. It was a fantastic room and we had incredible views. Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
