Other than my shock for being hit with a hefty overcharge on top of the fairly reasonable price at a travel website, I found the rooms very comfortable and meticulously equipped. Unfortunately I didn't have time to take advantage of the Yoga classes offered, nor...More
So pleased I stumbled across this place to plan out 10 day stay in NYC. We travelled as a couple and a single. This was a very affordable 2 bedroom very large apartment in Lower East. Huge balcony which was great to spend time outside....More
We stayed in New York for 9 days, at the Sanctuary Retreat on Stanton Street, Lower East side of Manhattan.
The room - very good. The neighbourhood- quiet. Zack was very helpful upon arrival.
The only problems:

Straddling the bridge between New York’s thriving immigrant past and its modern transformation into a beacon of global art and culture, the Lower East Side is one of the most dynamic neighbourhoods in the city. The blocks of tenements that represented the promise and blight of the Lower East Side immigrant experience now command top dollar for new residents. Right next to old-world delis, 24-hour bodegas, and the garment
shops of Orchard Street, you’ll find hip clubs, fashionable bistros, and luxury hotels beckoning at all hours of the evening. If you love nightlife and live music, it’s hard to beat the scene here.
