We were on a 10-day family pleasure trip in New York City on a tight budget. We were well placed in the center of Manhattan for a reasonable price. The apartment was very properly equipped. The communal facilities were minimal but sufficient. Wi-fi irregular in...More
Our room was very spacious with two beds and a kitchen. Short walk to Times Square - great location. Front desk staff were extremely helpful. I would definitely stay here again! I took my 18 year old twins for a mother-daughter weekend. Couldn't have asked...More
We stayed for five nights here. We chose it because of the proximity to Broadway as we wanted to go to a show each night and be able to get home easily. It was very cheap and conveniently located. The room was basic and overlooked...More

Only stayed one night, but the Metro was very reasonably priced, surprisingly spacious for midtown NYC and has kitchen facilities if you need a break from endlessly eating out. We would stay there again.
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the
affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

Does anyone take travelers cheques these days and why would you want to use them in a place like New York when it is cheaper to take cash out of the hole in the wall?? I can understand carrying cheques when visiting the third world but not in the US. The hotel has a cash machine in the lobby, use a card - cheaper and safer.
